OpenSolaris is not in the list... That is an OS (funny isn't it? OS can mean Operating System and OpenSolaris too) too, unlike the latest m$ made one. (I don't have OS on my comp though) |

Hi.
I'm 20 years old (soon 21). My first Linux expirience was with SuSE Linux 8.0, about 5 years ago. Since KDE was the defult dektop for SuSE, I never wanted to switch to Gnome. Through the years I could see how KDE is gettting better, and I was happy with that. KDE is a very good DE indeed. I really like the freedom, when it comes to the custumisation of your desktop. I also like, that tons of apps are written for KDE.
Despite the positive things in KDE, I am planning to switch to Fluxbox, because it starts much faster than KDE. There were some times when KDE started rapidely, but now, its not that time. Fluxbox has some KDE support, so I can continue to use some good features of KDE, and run KDE based apps. |

I don't understand why Microsoft behave so agressivly to Open Source. Its not a big competitor. Open Source takes only a small piece of the market worldwide! It cannot be compared to microsoft's market piece! Whats the problem then? |
