Re: Other colors?
Nov 27 2010  on content Shiki Dark

What works for me is to simply change the green colour in the Appearance preferences.

Appearance Preferences -> Customise... > Colours > Selected items

The selected item colours for the normal Shiki theme are:
Brave #729FCF
Dust #B49372
Human #F7A145
Illustrious #F08290
Noble #AD7FA8
Wine #DE4E4E
Wise #97BF60

Note that in Shiki Dark the Wise selected item colour is #A7CC5C, not the same as in normal Shiki.

unreadable text

do you really think the text colors are well chosen? grey on pink? look carefully, the text in the screenshot with the panel is unreadable.

Fixing warning messages
Feb 10 2009  on content Divinorum-Revisited

I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex. Whenever I launch a program from the terminal, I see the message below. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Quote:

** (gvim:5718): WARNING **: Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap:
/usr/share/themes/Divinorum-Revisited-1.2/gtk-2.0/Menu-Menubar/menubar.png,

please add screenshot of all cursor images instead of just a picture of the main pointer. see other mouse themes.

Credits

Did you forget to credit anyone? I am wondering whether you designed this all by yourself, or whether you relied on the hard work of others who designed a base theme for you to use.

Furry fonts
Aug 22 2007  on content Champagne?!

In the screenshots your fonts are furry. I am not sure what is the cause, but it is does not look good. Maybe there is no antialiasing. Or the resolution is too low. The fonts just don't look sharp and maybe that prevents people from appreciating the theme itself.

poor design
Jul 25 2007  on news openDesktop.org launched

i think the application categories are poorly chosen. here are just two examples.

why is "Kommander Scripts" a category? do you think this is desktop agnostic? it looks to me like KDE-centric.

also, where is the category for non-PIM info management apps?

in gnomefiles.org there is a whole top-level category "Information Management". this includes PIM apps like Sunbird but also non-PIM apps like mcatalog for creating book and DVD collections.

on this site, an application like BasKet Note Pads is relegated in the "Utilities > Other" category. which is too obscure.

.
what theme?
Jul 2 2007  on content Ehecatl

there is no theme in your screenshots. just a panel on top of the screen and a file manager and a terminal.
