LiVES video editor
Don't likes:
Ubuntu / any Debian-based Linux, cold weather (snow IN GENERAL!), lazy people
Interests:
I did a lot of fishing when I lived in Ontario (Sarnia, in the South-west (near London). However, here, I don\'t do much fishing. Its too bad, but the good spots are jst too far away!

I spend most of my spare waking hours on my computers, which are all networked together. I study a LOT about anything to do with pcs, programming, and Linux in particular.

I plan to begin doing some of my own development pretty soon. I actually have used the GNU compiler on my Windows-based machines before (I had DJGPP, and loved it!). So, it will not be a very big step for me.
Languages:
english, some greek...
Programming languages:
assembler, C / C++, Pascal, BASIC, Visual Basic
Favourite quote:
something like \"I\'d rather DIE on my feet than LIVE on my knees\"...(?)
Favourite music:
ELO, Metallica, Lady GaGa
Favourite tv shows:
CSI (all variations), House, NCIS, Nova, most everything on the Discovery channel.
Favourite movies:
Monty Python & The Quest For The Holy Grail, It\'s A Wonderful Life, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, anything Tarentino does...
Favourite books:
The \"Earth\'s Children\" series, by Jean M. Auel...
Favourite games:
Original Quake, original Duke-Nukem 3D, Daggerfall / Morrowind / Oblivion, most 1rst-person shooters...
About me:
I work as a recycling technician at SarCan Recycling in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada where I also live with my wife of 13 years (no kids...).

I have been a professional software developer, short-order cook and have done some flooring installation.

I LOVE Linus (ESPECIALLY Slackware!) because it is SO user-configurable! I am trying very hard to leave Microsoft & Windoze FAR, FAR BEHIND...

Actually, I run CentOS on my two older PC\'s because I wanted them to be Linux-based, but Slackware performed POORLY on those older units. I found CentOS, and am quite happy with it.

I have just recently installed LiVES video editor for Slackware, and this type of application was the one thing really keeping Windoze on my system!

I like Linux more every day...; it is an adventure every time I log-on!
