Looks best with globalmenu!
______________________________________________

My current vision of gnome :)

I tried to create a futuristic yet simple environment to
work in.
______________________________________________

A HUGE thank you to every user who commented
here and helped me shape this!!!
______________________________________________

info on and download the globalmenu here:
http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/

for a wallpaper that goes with the theme:
http://staford.deviantart.com/art/Technical-Method-5971201

I will ask artist taner if he is willing
to do a wallpaper that will be the default
wallpaper of this theme
this when he gets back in about 3-4 months
or so.

//Robert

Changelog:

0.1.1 now works without globalmenu hack
also.
should you have any problems running it with
or without it please comment :)

0.1.2 now installs as a "theme" (thanks
to harryNID for the script!)
this is the iconset it applies if installed:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

0.1.3 improved menues and pcmanfm tweaks,
look at the first screenshot.

0.2 Let's see what I remember... well
nobody reads this anyway so big deal,
fixed evolution, more integrated overall
look, changed some colors, made some new
icons, some other minor things.

yeah thanks again man!

why don't you like the globalmenu hack ?

Ones I tried it I knew this was something I
am not uninstalling :) so all my future
stuff is probably gonna be with this hack
in mind :)

sure it does not work with firefox, but who
needs firefox anyway when there are better
browsers?

the only problem right now is openoffice,
and that I use so seldom so it don't really
bother me.... sorry, I'm blabbering about
my own computing experience as like somebody would
actually give a f**k :D

anyway, if there is enough demand for a
version withouth the macmenu hack I might
give it a try :)

I don't like the globalmenu hack because I change often between GNOME and PekWM and the hack REALLY does not like PekWM. And then trying to uninstall it is a NIGHTMARE.

Perhaps one day if it becomes a part of GNOME, but until then, not for me.

Should you find yourself the time to produce a version without the hack, that would be awesome.

hmmm Ic, I don't understand why you would have
to uninstall it since when I remove the
applet from the panel *poff* the file menu
is back on the window and when I add the
applet to the panel *poff* the file menu
is there, maybe you have tried some really
old version
when it (as you said) was a nightmare to
use it :)

I like your stuff a lot especially the
sticky walls, if you really don't want
to try out the globalmenu, hell, I will
make you a version suitable for the normal
menu :)

but this whole idea for this look i got
because I installed the globalmenu :)
so I don't think it will look any good at
all with the normal file menu.

even better would be to get a version
that works both with the applet and
without it....

Thanks again for your feedback man!

//Robert

PS. is pekwm good? :D

Hi! I, personally, LOVE PekWM. It's quite freaky, I was actually just comtemplating making a PekWM theme for this theme. I've never done it before, and I get scared by lots of code.

But yes, if you check out my dA profile, you'll see I love PekWM. Check out Lyrae (thrynk on dA). Her PekWM stuff is amazing.

ff3b5... when pages are loaded the loading animation in the top right corner of ff seems a little out of place... also File, Edit, View menus in ff , when mouse hovered over gets a lil sunken.. but when mouse is moved away it stays the same dunno if it's intentional, but dun look too good to me.. other than that great theme! i like it!!! :D
