Impressive piece of work Rob. I especially like the sense of depth you created with the menu tabs, don't think anyone has ever done that before. That said, I still like slickness black the most. To me it's the cleanest and most useable theme ever.

Some people are like Slinkies… Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Dude, you have to be the #1 theme maker on this site. The two Slickness variants and Overglossed are ALL on the first page for GTK themes under "highest rated" and this one's going to be coming up close behind.

I like this one a lot, too. Might even switch over...

Like I'm wrong? You have FOUR THEMES on the front page for "highest rated".

If the GNOME people were smart, they'd hire you PRONTO for these designs and future ones. TechniX, in my eyes, looks like it should be default on quite a few distros.

Well thank you!

It appears you are right about 4 of my themes
being at the highest rated first page
at the moment.

That highly suprises me! :D

When I posted my first theme here at gnomelook
I never thought it would get so much dugg!

Thanks again for your kind words man!

 suggestion

hi rob,

glad to find several of your themes here. I have a suggestion. Could you avoid using the wizard factory to illustrate the theme?
Or simply provide more images beside the wizard factory?

I feel that a normal linux- desktop-in-action such as nautilus, firefox etc gives me much more realistic feeling of the theme...

Thank you for your creativity!

Shannon

Well thank you!

Sure, I keep that in mind if I post more
themes :)

if you have some nice screenshots of your
own and you got it setup nicely and all
please feel free to send me and I might
put theme here if I like them ;D

Technix is an awsome edition but I seem to have a problem with firefox where the text is white and hard ti differentiate between the grey and white. How do I fix this problem and I am coming from the firefox fix in slickness.

Nevermind! I just deleted the file I added through slickness
$HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/chrome/userChrome.css

Firefox text is appropriate.

thanks!

Yeah that is the userchrome that fixes
firefox with slickness....

to fix simply run:

rm $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/chrome/userChrome.css

and restart firefox...

Now I can't try this atm but if it don't
work just navigate to that directory
and manually remove (and restart firefox).

hope this helps!
