 can't get it working

I can't get this working either. I've read the GTK part of the readme. It says put the Hardy-Mariux folder in ~/.themes, which I've done, but it doesn't show up in the themes window when I open up appearance, all that is contained in the Hardy-Mariux folder is /gtk-2.0/gtkrc . no other files exist which seems wrong to me... any suggestions?

It is correct, the Hardy-Mariux GTK folder conly contains /gtk-2.0/gtkrc.

After you put the Hardy-Mariux folder in your ~/.themes folder, just open
System->Preferences->Appearance, then
Customize->Controls
and in the list choose Hardy-Mariux.
This will change the theme.

Big bug. When you edit a file or folder name, the text is invisible. You can't see what your typing! :(

yeah i've fixed it for the next release changing the windows background with a brighter color. Now I'm waiting to find a good new icon theme for the 1.0 release that will be up next days, suggestions are welcome! I'm thinking about some orange-like icons, actually i choose Tangerine that is actually an Ubuntu supported deb package.. what do you think about?

strange.. are you sure you have emerald installed? If no, first you have to install it with sudo apt-get install emerald.
If it's already installed, ty open emerald manager then import the Hardy theme.

I'm not interested in Mac4Lin icons because my interest is to make a completely other os-free theme.. but i'm glad my theme is good in different tastes, it's done for this! ;-)

I would like to see even more from the mock up. The icons, wallpaper, and everything just have an awesome seemless flow to them.

How it is said in the explanation of the theme, this is not the exact reproduction of the mockup theme.
Some features that you can see in the mockup actually cannot be done in Gnome, such as the gradient in windows background or windows that remain rectangular while others are curved, or the different visualization of the nautilus environment.. I hope that lot of things like these can be fixed or added in the next release of the Gnome DE, actually the potentiality of the GTK engines are quite restricted and this is the best can be done actually ;-)
