Description:

This is a very very black modification of
my slickness theme.
I made it cause someone here at gnome-look
asked if I could.

New feature since version 0.3:
You can now choose colors using gnome
theme manager.
It is my very first try at something like this so it might not work exactly as planned.

Feedback of any kind is always welcome :D

To fix browser problems go here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Darkfix+%28+easy+fix+for+browsers+%29?content=74504

that fix will fix all your browser problems :)

A HUGE thanks to code933k for making it!!

!!!IMPORTANT!!!

To install:
1.Download the file to your desktop
2.Right click the file and select extract here
3.open a terminal and run these commands:
first:
sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/SlicknesS-black /usr/share/themes
second:
sudo chmod 777 /usr/share/themes/SlicknesS-black/Slickness-black.jpg

4.Open the theme manager, you can now
see the SlicknesS-black theme as a theme,
when you click on it , it suggests
taners amazing wallpaper he made for this theme!!
click apply to apply the wallpaper!

the icon theme it suggests is this one:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

any problems with the install let me know!!!!

One REALLY HUGE thank you to artist Taner
for his fantastic wallpaper!

Gerva has made a fix that fixes openoffice problems! :

where hard to spot), made completely new

I like the new scrollbars, very nice and adds some polish. I wonder what will be the next improvement :-)

I also recommend this theme to be included in a default gnome install.

 Good theme!

But I think insensitive text with shadow effect looks a bit harder to sense. In firefox that text looks as simply #454545 colored text. How I can manually change gtkrc file to do this?

 Firefox input boxes

by someguydude on: Jan 18 2008

In this update, input boxes have a dark grey background and the text in it is black, so sites with a built-in search box (not to mention message boards) are now really difficult to use.

Otherwise, a good update.

I really thank you guys for your lovely comments!!

highly appreciated! :D

As for the insensitive text, you are right,
I will change that color to next release.
(I don't know how to remove the shadow completely)

I will try to fix the firefox input boxes,
but that happens because firefox is not a
gtk app. Firefox 3 will integrate to gnome
desktop better (I tried it the other day,
no problems with fonts there) ,but I will
try to find a workaround for the problem.
Be sure to have unchecked the box "use system colors"
as I mentioned in the description.

btw, I am not happy with the new scrollbar
sliders , so I probably improve/change
them to next release :) I am glad
that you like the new style on them :D

 Awesome theme! but..

Thanks so much for this great theme! Definitely the best for me.

But, when I try to run the firefox fix listed in the description I get this error:

bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('

I'm sure I'm just making some noob mistake, but after trying to work things out on my own I'm stuck.

Could you offer some advice please? Thanks.
