Description:

This is a very very black modification of
my slickness theme.
I made it cause someone here at gnome-look
asked if I could.

New feature since version 0.3:
You can now choose colors using gnome
theme manager.
It is my very first try at something like this so it might not work exactly as planned.

Feedback of any kind is always welcome :D

To fix browser problems go here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Darkfix+%28+easy+fix+for+browsers+%29?content=74504

that fix will fix all your browser problems :)

A HUGE thanks to code933k for making it!!

!!!IMPORTANT!!!

To install:
1.Download the file to your desktop
2.Right click the file and select extract here
3.open a terminal and run these commands:
first:
sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/SlicknesS-black /usr/share/themes
second:
sudo chmod 777 /usr/share/themes/SlicknesS-black/Slickness-black.jpg

4.Open the theme manager, you can now
see the SlicknesS-black theme as a theme,
when you click on it , it suggests
taners amazing wallpaper he made for this theme!!
click apply to apply the wallpaper!

the icon theme it suggests is this one:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

any problems with the install let me know!!!!

One REALLY HUGE thank you to artist Taner
for his fantastic wallpaper!

Gerva has made a fix that fixes openoffice problems! :
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Openoffice+fix+for+slickness+black+theme?content=77415

Thanks Gerva!

I have only Human icon in my Open Office - it is possible to use anotfer (better) set of icons with this theme? I have also made a hybrid with Slickness and Overglossed - it looks really nice - both themes are good but i prefer panels&scrollbars from Overglosed and menubar and the other things from Slickness black.

I have absolutely no idea, sorry, but you could
try this nice fix Gerva did:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Openoffice+fix+for+slickness+black+theme?content=77415

What it does is that it starts openoffice with
the ordinary slickness theme so openoffice
does not suffer from the annoyances that
it does when using a dark theme!

Glad you like my work and I hope you enjoyed hacking it! ;D

hope this helps!

 firefox search field

Another very nice theme. This theme has one thing, that I missed in "Overglossed" and "Slickness". When you click the search field in FF the font is white. This makes the previous searched topics more visible, than in the two other themes. See example. The first one is "Slickness Black" the second one is "Slickness".

Thanks!

Yeah that is a bug in firefox if you don't use
the included css style file that I included in
slickness....

In the latest firefox 3 it works without any fixes at
all.
