Very nice sticker art. You're missing one for Slackware, though. I'd like to put one of those on my old Compaq laptop - a 166 MHz Pentium w/ 64 Meg. :)

 Incapable vs. Linux

by devport on: Oct 3 2007

Even though its only a joke Windows people not knowing Linux could get a wrong association between Windows Vista incapable ( slow, not powerful ) computers and Linux and they may conclude that Linux is an operating system good only for slow, non powerful computers.

I propose to try to find a more appropriate term - e.g. Windows Vista Decapitated.

Let me first say that my following comment has nothing to do with the art quality of the images. I know i am on thin ice here.

But.... I find it strange that on a website devoted to images for KDE, images that say something about another OS are getting the highest rating.

Is this because they represent a "joke", or something else.

So if i would make "Windows Vista Decapitated" stickers, they would also score high. Not because the images are great but because it says something about MS.

Please, correct me if i am wrong.

This also appears on Gnome-Look, not just KDE-Look

Still, I see your point

 Fireworks?

The rollover hint in Konq. says the generic 'made for linux' image was made with Macromedia Fireworks 8.

Does that run on Vista?

Yes, I made my stickers - and all of my images - with Fireworks 8.0.
It's run perfectly with Wine on a linux.

I am assuming you used SVG's to make these. Could you provide the SVG files?

Cheers,
Chadders.

That's my two pence worth.
