WOW, thanks for the quick response.
I was unable to find a Metacity theme that matches so well with Murrine.

Hey, I was using Murrina GT4 on Xfce, but now your theme looks promising and I am using it. I really like it so far. Nice job. And I never liked the original ClearLooks, but yours works wonders with Murrine.

I have only one problem with your themes, the text within the animated progress bar in applications like gtk-gnutella is impossible to read, since it is white and the progress bar is glowing over it
especially in the green one which i love and use right now... please if you cna fix it i'd appreciate it. thanks

Hmm, I especially picked the 'darker' clear colors to prevend non readable fonts, so here (on my screen) it looks readable.(That's why yellow didnt work btw :P)

If you do not want that font to be white but black, edit this file:

MurrinaFancyClearlooksGrass/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

Go to line 144 where you find this:

style "theme-progressbar" = "theme-wide"
{
xthickness = 1
ythickness = 1
fg[PRELIGHT] = "#ffffff" # white
}

And comment out the fg[PRELIGHT] line like this:

style "theme-progressbar" = "theme-wide"
{
xthickness = 1
ythickness = 1
# fg[PRELIGHT] = "#ffffff" # white
}

Then save the file and reload the theme. Now the font on the progressbar should be black.

 stripes

In my case (I compiled Murrina engine by myself in my ubuntu edgy 64bit box) , I don't get the stripes at the menu bar. I don't miss them very much, but I would like to know if someone knows why I don't have them.

Congratulations for this theme. It is very nice and really fast. I'm very happy using it with tango icons.. I love new clearlooks colors (sky). I like clearlooks as well, but it is boring to stand always with the same theme :-P.

Also, the gtkrc file is very well commented, so I have successfully adjusted to my needs :-)

I'm glad you like it.

It's the main reason I started this, I love Clearlooks too (both new and old), but I wanted something more glassier (shinier), and I couldn't find a nice Emerald theme to fit with the orignial Clearlooks theme - so I decided to make my own stuff.

I chose Murrine for it's speed and for the glassy look.

 The theme pack rules

Wow. What was good got even better after you added the theme pack. Now you make it really hard to find something better out there, as when we get tired of one color, we can switch to the next one and so forth.

Right now I switched the the "Sea" and I like it too. They are all nice. Thanks to you and to the Murrine author.

BTW, I use Xfce and your themes work great for me. The contrasts really help.

It is nice to hear you like it and that it is working great on Xfce.

I actually want more colors! but it has to match the gnome 2.16 icons (all colors until now are based upon them) and it is hard to find more matching colors which work well with the rest of the theme.

And also thanks to the creators of Clearlooks and the icons.

 Menu Bar Too Large

 by jrickmar on: Jan 5 2007

Score 50%

When I run your themes, the menu bar at the top (Apps, Places, System, and Launchers) is slightly larger than if I wasn't running your themes. This isn't too much of a problem, except it causes my icons for my launchers to be extended by 1 pixel, which makes them really fuzzy. I can post an image if you need me to.

If you could get this fixed, that could be great.
