[ FAQ ]

question: the buttons for the window border being on the left,
is that a theme thing or can that be configured somewhere?

Answer: ( original tutorial by -fissy. )

using the "run program" action or a terminal, start gconf by typing:

gconf-editor

and hitting enter.

This program is a bit like the registry editor for windows.

In the tree on the left you need to go to /apps/metacity/general/

There is then a key in the right pane called "button_layout"

edit this key so that it reads:

CODE
close,minimize,maximize:menu

or
CODE
close,maximize,minimize:menu

enjoy!

Hello

have a look at:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=12097

This seems to be a menu like the above. I would also be happy to know which menubar is used for this gnome-screenshot.

I just love this theme :P but I still wonder what menubar is used in those pictures?

If the guy who made this theme would tell what menubar he used, then that would be great :) and perhaps share it with us others?

 improvements

Very nice theme! to make it even better, could you implement the following improvements:

  • scroll bars go over the end icon on the bottom or right side, please fix it, it works on the top and left side.

  • Tabs in firefox have an irritating blue underline, please remove this. Also it is not aligned with the underline in the active tab.

  • Font color of non selected window application caption in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen are white when mouse is hovering over it. The contrast with the bright background is too less, please use a grey font color.

Hope this theme will continue to be supported and extended.

I've fixed the third bug: just edit the gtkrc file located at ~/.themes/MacOS-X/gtk-2.0 (if you're using gtk-2.0), and change the foreground color of PRELIGHT which is denoted as fg[PRELIGHT] to be {0.60,0.60,0.60}

Just enjoying!
