[ FAQ ]

question: the buttons for the window border being on the left,
is that a theme thing or can that be configured somewhere?

Answer: ( original tutorial by -fissy. )

using the "run program" action or a terminal, start gconf by typing:

gconf-editor

and hitting enter.

This program is a bit like the registry editor for windows.

In the tree on the left you need to go to /apps/metacity/general/

There is then a key in the right pane called "button_layout"

edit this key so that it reads:

CODE
close,minimize,maximize:menu

or
CODE
close,maximize,minimize:menu

enjoy!

 Uuh..

I may be wrong, but after looking closer at the screenshot, I'm left to believe that the screenshot is of nothing but a Macintosh running Nautilus, Gimp etc. and therefor has very little to do with Gnome, let alone Linux.
On top of this, the theme has several problems, one being the obvious font-color used on active tabs; white doesn't go well with light blue.
Same goes for the metacity theme.

A couple of things to tell that's not a Mac:
1)There is no separator between Trash and the other apps
2)The position of the US flag in the menubar it's akward.

 Independent program?

I'm curious as to how in the hell you managed to time the screenshot to 1300 hours, to the very second?

Also, how is it you're running this but can't supply an URL for the application?

Some of us would appreciate a clarification of how you made this theme, despite the fact that I don't particularly like it.

The top OSXish menubar was a program DannyWu was working on, he panned to release it, but AFAICT some of the gnome developpers (it's rumored they were sent by M$) told Danny to stop making that app or they would talk to the boss (BillG) and get Danny jailed or finned. And Danny is no longer working on that app.
