Description:

I cant believe there are no left-handed cursor themes on KDE-look :( so here is a left-handed version of the yellow dot theme (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=5475) which was in turn based on the red dot theme (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=4805)

Its basically a hack with a couple of the images flipped horizontally and the click points changed. These were trial and error determined so tell me if they need tweaking!

Greets to uga and telex for including the sources and some docs on making themes in their red dot and yellow dot themes and creating a proper installer for the theme.

PS: I have no idea what I'm doing!

Changelog:

I changed these images and click points:

left_ptr_watch
hand
left_ptr
move
question_arrow (yes I redid the question mark, not that lazy :)

Modified the screen shot

Couple changes in the makefile so it installs into ~/yellowdotlefthanded and does not become your default theme

Now with more accurate click-point for the main pointer! :)

 Works?

Does it really works? I think you still are clicking with the left edge.

Its pretty darn close. If anything its slightly to the right of the tip of the cursor. EG when I try to click and drag a highlight from a thin letter like the second "l" in "llamas", the tip of the cursor has to be slightly to the left of the l otherwise it misses it and starts with the a. But we're talking two or three pixels here.

Cool. I thought that I have to change some scripts or something, but h-flipping the pointer just works?

Oh are you converting a cursor to left-handed? Yea grapically just h-flipping it works but the click point will still be for a right-handed cursor. You gotta edit the .conf file for the cursor in the "sources" directory to move it around so that it matches where the picture is pointing. I did it trial and error. If you download mine you'll see the values I used though they might not fit the cursor you're working on as the pictures might not be pointing to the right place but it'll give you a good starting point.

Cool, it stands nowhere on the net howto change the cursor into left-handed. But I guess that is because left-handed persons is rare, not even I is left-handed! xD
