Neutral + CrystalCursors Clock

X11 Mouse Theme

Neutral + CrystalCursors Clock

Description:

I really liked the neutral theme, but I definetly disliked the MacOS-like busy animation.

So I took the clock animation from CrystalCursor White and merged it with the neutral cursors.

The package include both sources and binary, just unpack it in your ~/.icons directory.

Updated version to correct a couple of errors.

crystalcursors: Copyright (C) 2003 Marco Martin

This simple theme is the result of a merge between the "neutral" and the "crystalcursors" X11 mouse cursors themes published on http://www.kde-look.org.

As a consequence this theme is under the Artistic Licence except the clock images which are licensed under the GNU/GPL licence.

Which versions of netral and crystal cursors provide the basis for your modification? That'd probably an interesting additional information. Besides that, cool idea to replace netral's spinner with the crystal clock. :-)

I have used Crystalcursors 1.1 and neutra 1.12.

I had preferred jimmac+ccc but jimmac sources aren't avaiable and I didn't had time to rebuil it from scratch.

I took the original Neutral package (.tar.gz) and modified it.

The theme source is composed of png images, you can edit the images with any program (e.g. the Gimp).

In order to build the theme you need the utility xorg-x11 which is parte of the standard xorg-x11 package but may be out of your PATH.

The better way to learn is to download this theme or another and look at the sources (here they are in the sources/ subdirectory), have a look at the .in files and at the make.sh script.

If you just want to rebuild this theme change to sources/ directory and run ./make.sh
