Description:

Bundled colour schemes for the 'Clearlooks' theme..

Simply extract theme folders to '/usr/share/themes'

Only gtk2 rc files contained herein.

New 'Clearlooks' schemes should be available in desktop theme selector.

***** UPDATE ! *****

Two new schemes added:- Clearlooks-SandStone and Clearlooks-PurpleHaze.

Clearlooks-Everglade work background tweaked from light green to white.

Clearlooks-Aqua and Ice remain unchanged.

***** UPDATE 2 ******

Okay, it wouldn't be complete without a dark theme. So here is 'Clearlooks-coal'.

**** UPDATE 3 ****

Due to poor vision of slider wigets Clearlooks-Coal has been lightened up a little so that slider buttons can be seen. Oops!
Also some subtle text colour changes too.
:-)

Thanks :-D

Apart from my own desire for preferred colour schemes, appreciation makes it even more worth while :)

Believe me, it took a LOT of adjustments (between GIMP colour selector / cut 'n' paste to rc file), to get a (subjectively) pleasing result.

If you haven't noticed from screenshots, I'm actually using XFCE4 ;-)

Thx again.

The applet you speak of is a XFCE specific plugin.

As far as I'm aware, it only integrates with the XFCE desktop environment.

The applet can also display swap usage and User uptime too :)

No problem, enjoy! :-)

I did consider a red theme as well, but that colour doesn't seem to translate too well...

Nope. The font is good old 'Sans' regular (size 9). Plain and simple to read.

Thanks for encouragement again. :-)

Clearlooks-Coal will probably be my last effort for a good while now, as my colour/mood tastes have now been satisfied.

These gtkrc schemes are all derived directly from Clearlooks Olive theme, so should work well on the most basic GNOME desktops (I'm using XFCE afterall).

no problem Rob! the color schemes r pretty damn gud! but it seems like some ppl r simply voting this submission down! coz lat nite this one had a 76% rating, and now it stands at 68%! can't really understand the motive behind voting this down! even worse the ppl who vote this down don't give ne xplanation whatsoever! pathetic! am voting it up again!

Well... I have wondered about the value of this voting system before now.
I understand that the core reason is to maintain only the artwork deemed to be of good artistic value, but this can be too competitive and bring out a sore attitude in people.
It's to be expected. After all, we live in a caring, united open source GPL world
don't we? Lol ;-/

As a general rule if someone's artwork doesn't grab my attention, I simply pass it by...

Thx, Peace to you. :)
