Description:

DeepSky

A CursorXP theme, smooth and cool with nice transparency effects.
Try it and... Have Fun!

Actual Posted by: TimeRever, I have just made the Slackware package.

Installation:
-------------
You can also install on other systems like redhat, mandrake etc. by:

1. tar -zxvf *DeepSky*.tgz -C /
2. cd /install
3. sh ./doinst.sh
4. rm -rf /install (remove the temp folder)

Slackware 10.x users:
---------------------
installpkg *DeepSky*.tgz

Changelog:

i486-4 fixed issue which made DeepSky the Default Cursor.
Also the Cursor path changed from /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons to /usr/share/icons

Don't Cry!!!

Goto /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/default

edit index.theme

change the name from DeepBlue to your favorite one.

To know the name of other theme run:

kcmshell mouse,

The package is supposed to make the 'Cursor' your default cursor.

you should have read the /install/doinst.sh file to know what it will do.

anyways, don't worry!

Hey I'm curious to know how to make your cursors. Is it hard or does it involve much? Please help me find some howtos. Thanks in advance. :)

Using /usr as local base is Linux default, but other users (and Linux too) may use something else (like /usr/local in BSD -> /usr/local/share/icons), it should be tunable w/ parameter

Best regards, Mirya

Worked fine for me on Ubuntu. Just don't use the GNOME Cursor Install Theme option. It extracted the theme to the Home Folder.

Just extracted it manually instead.
