Stock Matters.co.uk) 05/09/2010 to Present
(Self-Employment – Client of Tech support Base)
Stock Matters is a stocktaking company from Stalybridge. They provide a very efficient auditing service to local and national businesses. Stock Matters needed a fully functional website to help customers learn more about their services and to manage existing customer accounts online. This was a very deep site to complete as the permission table alone was, based on two sections. This holds a two-year support and back-up plan, to insure the health of the company.

Lees Brewery, The Millpond, Stalybridge 10/12/2010 to 03/04/2011 - Temporary General Manager

This venue holds the same responsibility as the White Hart, but because it’s situated in a town centre, this holds more responsibility and quick thinking. The Millpond has a bigger capacity, should effectively be quicker to turn around, but unfortunately due to the time of year the PnL accounts are at a loss and need very affective controlling to keep afloat. So I hope to make a success of this public house, so that a perspective tenant finds it in a satisfactory state.

Lees Brewery, White Hart, Mottram 30/07/2009 to 10/12/2010 - Relief Management

This role was, given to me with the understanding that it was/is a temporary role in which I would have to gather and build custom up to the specific venue and maintain it until they found some tenants’ that are interested in it. My duties as a relief manager are to undergo general running’s of the times, sales, staff rotas and general duties. In addition, I have to maintain hygiene, fire, health and safety and working standards to a

high. I have 5 employees which I have been trained staff with customer service, cellar management, hygiene and enthusiasm. I also have to carry a profit and loss sheet as well as regular bookkeeping, and I would like to say that my business management are to a high peak level.

Tech Support Base.net / aka /Technology Chick 07/08 - Present - Sole Trader

I not only, offer a more decisive range of Network Supporting Tools and Solutions to the public, such as telephone support lines, email service and more but to, link up with supporters (e.g.; council, local businesses) and partner groups wanting to play a supporting role in the building a new company for the community. TechnologyChick/TechSupportBase deals with ICT Networking and delivers a service to new and upcoming businesses along with the existing companies in the Tameside and Manchester area. I hope to and do, build a great and upstanding network within the communities here as well as providing one for them. This work involves talking to other companies studying their requirements and needs, reviewing the resent news and products on infrastructures and architectures with developing a deep analysis on “which tools are right for the job”. These are products like Zen Server and VMWare VI.3 and Network management tools, OPmanager, SolarWinds Orion, and SpiceWorks.

I supported local residents and businesses in ICT, including methods like:
• Remote Assistance: - windows, .NET, Telnet, VNC
• Telephone support: - Network problems, Internet not working, browser problems, etc.

Webnet Connect 02/08 – 07/08
Systems and Network Engineer
Duties
Consulting businesses on their new projects,
Repair and building systems,

Deploying windows OS’s Network support, (LAN and WAN)
Enterprise Inns 10/2005 - 02/2008 - Various Relief / Temporary Manager
I have worked at various public houses in the greater Manchester area for example, The Cube (in Lees Oldham) or the Queens Arms (Ashton Old road). This work included duties like; running the cellar and managing staff, time management and organising the working schedule and events and not for getting the day to day running of security on and for the premises. Public houses can be very security driven because of the effect and damage they can cause in every way, so you do have to keep your witt's about you at all times.

Self-employed Contractor 02/07 – 12/07 - Field Engineer for various Companies

I continued with the company links (like, Zen Internet, big mouth Media, Datacom and local’s) I made in the years 2002 to 06 and made call outs for network service problems and line checks, these services included skill sets:

Diagnostics in
• Network Analytics
• WAN, LAN
• DHCP, DNS
• CAT5/6 and Wireless

Here is one example of a job assignment at Datacom. In this assignment and other various others I had to move some HP Proliant BL and e3000 servers, which held OS Windows 2003 server enterprise and reconfigure them to compensate with the new polices and name servers they wanted installing. Planning the UPS and server racks so that they sit in the new air-cooled room, then later we, was given the task to check all terminals within the premises then, later consisted of maintaining the network with implementing new, and up to date security plans and user support with training hours for the staff within the company.

East Serve 10/06 – 02/07 - Hardware Technician

Duties included repair and service computer systems under the health and safety regulations: which included mainly Intel platforms and printer repair. Although we did get the odd games consoles and Cisco routers ASR 1006, 7301, 860, and switches including 6509 – E, 6509 – NEB A, although I saw more of the 2960 and 3750 ranges, in which I had to find and pin point faults and repair, also return to factory default, as well as providing onsite maintenance. I delivered this service to customers in person over the counter, so the ability to solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible was crucial, in order to provide the best care and expertise to the customer. I also had to restore the 3Com routers 3000 DSL and Ethernet range that customers returned back to default too use again with new customers and sometime went afield to install these in the Customer’s home to insure there was no faults on the line. I also to deal with customers on the phone to provide network support and solve on the spot problems like “why is my line slow” and “I have no internet connection”. However, unfortunately the company was not meeting its targets and had to close down, so I chose to return to contracting.

SELF-EMPLOYED 9/2002 – 10/06 - Technical Consultant
I collided with small companies to further my working knowledge and experience, I learnt to provide SLA’s to small businesses, so I consulted with companies to gather more information on the procedures to organise policies to implement and organise risk assessments, an extensive amount of constancy was, needed to provide support and organizing throughout these assignments. Ongoing reports and services was supplied to the companies in included server backup, field services, on site repair, remote access, customer services and much more.
