:)) I switched messages ... sorry, I've just write up my "signature"

This was the comment:

Even that I no longer use 3.5.10, sometime I still miss it, too.
I really don't know why, exactly . Most probably I'm nostalgic.
Anyway, being an artist, I find KDE 4 nicer.

Re: Still...
Mar 27 2013  on group I love KDE 3.5x

I use KDE4 on a Gentoo box which allow me to chose whatever I want or not to install from the KDE suite.
I don't have nepomuk nor network manager, too....and many others.
Thinking of KDE3, I really can't imagine me back on it.

Alt+Shift+F12 => disable effects & animations (see System Settings - Desktop Effects)

oh...KDE 4.6 is out !
You all can give it a chance. It works very smooth and quick as 3.5 on my box (core2 6750 / 1024 mb RAM / 7200rpm seagate sata hdd )
Because I've told about nepomuk, we all kde4 users know what a pain in the a s s was... well, now not only it works like a charm but it has a new way to use and , more important, the data base can be exported!

Well, then use KDE 3.5 !
There are a lot of people still using WinXP or even Win98...
If for somebody a thing is perfectly fitted to his needs, then that thing is perfect for him.
Anyway, besides the elegant look of kde4 it has nepomuk which I miss in 3.5
Anyway, these days I inserted a live CD with an old linux distro (kde3.5)..well, it was like I would turn 10 years in the past.

I really don't know why you people dislike so much kde4 !
OK, the first versions of kde4 were out to soon to use it properly
but since 4.3 it's OK !
I'm using Gentoo since 2005 and I tried all WM and every time I was returned to KDE
When KDE4 was available I wanted to try it and I was hooked by it ...well, I was needed to wait for 4.3 to switch from 3.5
Can't tell you specifically what I like more at kde4 against 3.5 but I can tell you that kde4 gave me all the features I wanted kde3.5 to have.

OH, yes...and how I love the kde4 uncluttered desktop!! Thx God that my wife don't know that is possible to switch to the old way folder view desktop!!

In the end, I am wandering why someone looking for "such a high productivity" as some claim, is using KDE either 3.5 or 4 ??!! when there are XFCE or IceWM for that...

My conclusion is that KDE4 is a big step forward....
Haha! I imagine the future when KDE4 users will complain about the KDE 5 !
