This is for actual GTK+ styles, not for GDM themes. The admins need to go through these. |

The community is split up all over the place. KDE4 has caused some KDE3 users to abandon KDE for GNOME and XFCE, but KDE4 has also attracted users from GNOME as well.
But KDE4 is still a work in progress, and too many people are treating it like it is a final release. Eventually, all the features of KDE3 will be in there. Until then, users in productive, enterprise environments should stick to tried and true KDE3.
Yes, the way the KDE team versions the releases is misleading, but we need to live with it. |

You can still use Konqueror as a file manager, KParts works there. |

Actually, I meant using Tux to represent Free Software (NOT Linux, or Linux Distros) is a bad idea, although I obviously didn't say that well enough XD |

Tux is actually not the official logo of Linux, but is commonly regarded as the Linux mascot. Tux should only be used to represent the Linux kernel and not +free software in general because that of course leaves out *BSD and userspace +free software that may or may not be used with the Linux kernel. Using Tux together with the FreeBSD Daemon (He's a little red devil; "daemon" - "a" = "demon", get it?) would be more appropriate, though still incorrect.
