consider getting a 64 bit machine as your next upgrade. i've compiled kde from scratch (minus qt, fedora core 2's is fine) in a few hours (all packages).

Considered, that there are currently over 1700 replies, there must be approximately at least 70 KDE 1.x users.

What math lib are you using? 1% of 1700 is 17, not 70.

:-P

Oops... Err... OK... then there must be at least 9 people, who still use KDE 1.x (given that the score is above 0.5% and rounded to 1%)

Well, right now there are 24 plus/minus 12 users. That means there could even be 36 users left using the b'back to the roots' version.

I sure hope it's a joke... the only people I can think of that would still run 1.x are retired computer nerds with no internet connection.

 Where is 0.x?

by lucher on: May 28 2004

Score 50%

Well, I am sorry to say that I voted 1.x. Since KDE is crashing and flickering from time to time and since most apps and panels don't behave like I expect to them, I assume KDE to be a BETA release and voted for 1.x.

Sorry.

I still run KDE 1.X as my Work UI as its rock solid (stable). If KDE 3.2.2 wouldn't segfault on occasions i'd use it more..
