fvwm has to be there. How long have you guys been using Linux? There's also the "X, sorry, my video card wasn't supported and editing the Modes in XF86Config blew my monitor. I use the console."
No mention of mwm?

I vote for fvwm!
It was the one installed as a default, if I remember, in Redhat 5.0, my first distribution. In those days, all the others wms weren't already born.

fluxbox ... and i'm still using it about 50% of time besides kde --- kde is too big to be launched every time ... sometimes, if i do not need 100ts of goodies, i go to fluxbox to do the thing i wanted, because it's much faster :-)

i too feel that i rarely (if ever) need all that kde provides... so i use xfce4 or openbox3 with vim, mozilla, xmms, gimp and xterm instead.

i do have kde installed though :)
