With options like the ridicilous "Show frame" option in Konsole I say: yes, it's too overloaded.

But really, problems like that are all due to programmers who don't have any (real) expierence in UI design.

Configuration dialogs are, just like programming, creating icons, and whatever; a true art, and not everyone can do all of it correctly (unfortunately).

Creating a good dialog should take much more time than the current few minutes spend on it by those programmers, imho.

And it doesn't stop with the dialogs, the main UI 'design' for many KDE applications isn't good either.
ie. Have a look at how commercial programs are created, like Adobe Photo Album (you know, that Adobe program that uses Qt), it's a world of difference.
Everything seems to fit together very nicely.
There's just sooo much more possible using Qt.. but nearly none in the KDE world knows how to exploit its features in such a way to make things look good (and still being very usable, or even more usable).
