 Anti-Americanism

No one can defend Sadam so it is much easier to attack America and it's policies. France and the others unwilling to negotiate in any way on removing Sadam have done thier best to change the topic. France (the number 1 trading partner with Sadam) has vested interests in keeping the status quo.

Please don't let the French politicians cloud your judgement. They are playing the left/pacifist side for geo-political gain. They do this at the expense of the common Iraq citizen. Yes war is bad. Yes civilians will die.

But how many will die if we leave Sadam in place.

Beyond the retoric of both sides there is one truth. He (Sadam) is a brutal dictator. He bullies and murders his own people. Either we help the Iraqi's overthrow a brutal dictator ... or we let false peace reign and Sadam touture his country longer.

America might actually just want to do good. At the same time removing what it see's as a threat to it's self. If you cannot except that as a possibility then your have been played by some politicians who can't stand america.

[ I do explicitely not wonder what qualifies one dictator as an "evil" dictator and the other as a "good" ally, although the question had been up a few times, already ].

If you overestimate the role that France played in creating public opinion _outside_ France you must be quite far away, or have been far away for some time... I say "Vive La France" however, although I perfer to praise the cooperation with Russia _and_ France, together (I don't forget Belgium). The French have their own ways, as have we.

As the USA do no longer need international cooperation, we may just as well keep it that way and _still_ cooperate. Our way.

Define Anti-Americanism. I would be interested to add this definition to that of "democracy" or "social freedom"... and a few other funny words.

And I hope, that those people who are always busy taking snippets of newspapers and magazines to keep them in a drawer somewhere don't stop their activity right now... it is always a good lesson to read after 20 years, what once went out from the wrong end of a politician.

One Crisis gone, one ahead.
But the bungling goes on and on...

"... and it's one two three, what are we fighting for? Don't ask me, -I don't give a damn. Next stop is Teheran".

Shot the guy behind the Hirsch-plan, instead. Life could be easier.

 Black day.

Bush's raping of the international public.

This is really bad news for anyone who considers themselves "advanced", "civilized", "democratically justified" and the likes. Never in the far over 2000 years history before a government, against the will of its own population, dared to lie to whole international community trying to convince them about something they were never able to prove; for a purpose they knew that they can't get any approval for. Never before a government openly dared to aggressively call a day a "day of truth", but admitting their own lies by clarifying that their true purpose has been a very different one in the whole time. Never before a government openly tied a war declaration against one whole country to one single ridiculous person. Never before a government calling itself "advanced", "civilized", "democratically justified" dared to delcare a war without any provocation. Never before a government has been ignoring the international rules for humanity and sovereignty this consequently.

I'm ashamed about today's "civilized" humans, this is really far worse than savages.

Mr. Duck. I am sorry that the above
contribution is below your usual level.

I will not go ahead nitpicking or even
providing lists of counterexamples to each of
your mistakes separately.

Only, this putting so much overweight on the
wrong spots will take the ridicule from the
topic and some wind of our sails...

and that would be bad.
