 yes, daily

I got a new core duo computer and decided to not install kde3.
Then I realized it was a impossible mission once most of KDE apps where not ported yet. So I'm still running kde4 as desktop but with a lot of gtk and kde3 apps in the end. This means I can't recommend KDE4 to anyone yet :-(

It sounds strange to me. I have been using kde3 with opensuse on a core2 duo for a year, without any problems.

It's not exactaly a problem.
I meant I wanted a pure kde4 (desktop and apps) machine, but that was impossible because kde4 still does not have enought apps.

Well, one way or another 3/4 of voters are still reluctant to use the new version.

It seems KDE4 is to KDE 3.5 what Vista is to XP, at least for the moment is obviously doing more damage than good. I really hope the KDE devs revert this with 4.1.

 most anoying bug

by mononoke on: Mar 13 2008

which prevents me from using kde4 daily is the fact, that the mouse-arrow acceleration is set to 2.0 on every kde4 startup. that's why i can't use kde4. although the value "1.3" is stored in the config file, but "2.0" is set up :/

update:
i am using kde4.0.2 now, still have to correct the mouse-acceleration on every kde-startup, but, there are some realy cool new features which i wanna use already :) Search-Bar in Konsole is one of them.. Plasma and its standard plasmoids still have got some issues, but it is ok. Until available, i use KDE3 versions of Amarok, Kontact, etc.
