That would be the "Bitmap background image (fullscreen/scaled)" option.

I only use bitmaps as backgrounds (fotos or drawings etc.). Svg-images are loading too slowly.

Is this poll to determine what gets removed for 3.5? If so that will change how I vote.

Not necessarily, but it may give some hints.

Don't take any hints from this poll. All it will determine is what peoples' first choice is. It will say nothing at all about their second or third choices. Not everyone uses only one kind of wallpaper.

 Reluctantly, bitmaps

Oh, how I wish I could use SVG wallpapers. Just now, I took an 600x839 handpainted-and-scanned bitmap image, cropped the top half (minus the border) to make it 580x464, then scaled it to 1280x1024 for wallpaper use. The artwork is breathtaking, but it's awful blurry when scaled to fit the screen.

I so look forward to seeing something that can auto-trace and translate complex bitmapped images into SVG images. Like that'll happen while I still live. ;)

Well, potrace is not a killing solution but it might help. It creates SVG files from B&W pixmaps. There's also potracegui, a KDE front-end for it.

Ingo Ruhnke (a very talanted behind a few free software games like SuperTux and Pingus) is developing a drawing tool called FlexlayPaint. It is meant to let artists work with a bitmap drawing flow, but it saves all the pencil strokes and that stuff, so you it can output the result in any resolution you want, without loosing quality. As I am not an artist, I can't tell you how usable it is, but it sure is promising. URL: http://flexlay.berlios.de/ (scroll down a bit)

I tend to use Bitmaps at fullscreen or scalled and tiles.

sad to see some of the cooler looking tiles get removed but oh well. lets make way for even cooler ones!
