 HAL

Definately HAL integration is a great improvement - especially when you have to deal with USB mass storage devices (never know will it be /dev/hdb or /dev/hdb1).

KPDF is nice too - I've waited for something like it for a long time.

 I\'ve a different fav

My fav is a somewhat hidden feature. The ability to use gdm themes (with a minor tweak) in KDM. I'm now running the same "look" from lilo to desktop" or from Grub to desktop without a hassle. Could make for some serious branding, especially for companies that have to keep reminding their employees where it is they work today;)

Kpdf now is a real killer app :) But is crashes very often when opening pdfs right from the internet and isn't that fast anymore as the cvs version before 3.4 was.

Kmail and Kicker? Are there improvements? Kmail now has kind of a "nag-screen" every time I want to fetch mail (the kwallet password request) and kicker doesn't have icon resizing anymore, just those slow huge tooltips.

tray icon is really best improvement. It must also be for quickstart icons but can be hide vertically not horizontally hiding.

Best Regards

 Kicker border?

Is there any way to get rid of this ugly frame line on the top of kicker? If you want to use background images, this can be really annoying :-(
In my opinion KPDF made the most impressing progress. It's a really professional app now! The icon-hiding support of kicker is also very cool.

Uhm... this is the first release of KPDF. Don't compare it to KGhostview.

I didn't want to depreciate KPDF. I really like it! It's the only PDF-viewer I have installed on my machine. And btw. I did not compare it with KGhostview.
