I think that u should release a version on 2 weeks ( numbered for example 3.3.1.1, 3.3.1.2 ...) and when there are many changes since 3.4 then 3.3.X+1 should be numbered 3.4.0.0 ;)

This versioning scheme does not make sense.

It looks like 3.4 is based on 3.3.1, which it is not.

In addition it is not possible to upgrade from a 3.3.2 installation to something versioned 3.3.1.x. A versioning scheme like 3.3.2.x does also not help since a security problem might force the developers to do a 3.3.3 release before the official 3.4 release.

The internal versioning numbers are already 3.3.9x already and this does not cause problems when upgrading an existing installation.

A bi-weekly release also does not make any sense, since the developers and the packagers have more important things to do than focusing on creating bi-weekly releases.

 PCLinuxOS and KDE3.4

All I can say is "outstanding". Both to the KDE team and Texstar. If this is a RC, I can't wait to see the finished product. Release it already.
Keep in mind this comes from someone who's primary desktop is Dropline GNOME on Slackware 10.1. I've never been in love with KDE but 3.3 and, now, 3.4 have really turned my head.

Ladies and gentlemen!
Kde 3.4.0 is out. It's not announced officially, but you can grab the tarballs from ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.4/src

I hope that the kde guys won't be angry that I announced the 3.4.0 release before them :)

It is not the size of the hammer that counts. It's how you wield it.

Probably, because you've posted the link to the official KDE server.

People... KDE 3.4 is already on some mirrors. Please go to http://download.kde.org.
