 Any Light fans?

It took me 1 minute to pick Light 3rd as my KDE style. And I have been using it for months. Tried all others, but none lasted more than half a day. Light 3rd is clean and stylish. It goes well with almost all window decorations. Is there really so few people who like it???

to say that I do not like Keramik? It is indeed original, which is certainly good, but it's definitely too intrusive for me. What's more relevant here, I have tried to use it, and found it too rough around the edges. Some widgets are definitely not ready for prime time -- the tabs, for instance. The menus should also integrate better with the style.
I am really very much against the idea of making it the deafult style of KDE. Artists contributing here should be aware that widgets have crucial usability issues and take them into considerations -- mosfet, for instance, improved his widgets A LOT in the last version of Liquid. THe keramik window manager is OK though, much nicer than the style itself, IMHO.

peace out,

Fred

 Keramik as default

I definitely think Keramik should become the default KDE style one day. At my job it has had the "wow" effect on many. And if you don't like it, change it. But I agree that Keramik has had its small quirks, but a recent CVS version works much better. Malte, Fredrik, Maks, Qwertz and the rest are making Keramik very good. This, for example, was checked in today: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-cvs&m=102487951407601 Good work, guys!

I think Liquid 0.9.6 should be default! It's much more flexible, faster and it's jsut plain better.

Sigh, I never said I was no longer maintaining Liquid. I'm not going to go over the entire topic again but I always planned on doing bugfixes, etc... As a matter of fact I did some work on it last weekend, and plan on doing some more this weekend. Read www.mosfet.org for accurate news of what I am doing, including porting the multithreading I originally did for KDE2 but never released.
