So how is kde-apps going to deal with this new release? Are there going to be different sections for kde3 and kde4 apps? And for plasmoids?

Loved the preview I enjoyed with the openSUSE LiveCD. KDE 4x is awsome, it's a new era. I used to be like "Well yeah, I like KDE more than Gnome", but now I've turned into a pathetic fangirl. Almost as bad as a Mac user.

I use Sidux which is purely KDE based, though I don't know when their devs will offer KDE 4.0.

Personally I'll wait anyway until 4.1, because a) I'm not a nerd and b) I *really* use Linux as my main productive system, so I want everything standing, interpreted from the average users perspective.

Some may think it's contradictory to not use KDE until 4.1 but using a Debian Sid based distro, but Sidux is rocksolid and fast as hell.

Oh my goodness, did I write this? I sound like such a fanboi.

 KDE4 applications

I like the interface very much - but the application database seems very incomplete. I did use a KDE4 Kmix program successfully, but the sheer absence of other important applications e.g. knetworkmanager is concerning. I wouldn't even mind if it was exactly the same as KDE3 with a more "oxygen" look, but as it is, it's very incomplete.

"That's self-contradictory; that would make it normal to be odd, and your being normal makes you odd compared to everyone else."
