Hi,

I would like to do a small survey. What do you think about our current content categories?
Is a category missing? Is something illogical or hard to understand?
Is there someting you would like to change?

I'm happy to here your suggestions. :-)

Cheers
Frank

 Completion percentag

I'd like to suggest a field for theme authors to let everyone know how far along they are toward their project being completed. This would be a handy field for search results also.

 Wallpaper sizes?

I would like to get filter to get rid those Beryl decorations because i cannot use compiz-fusion/beryl correct as long it dont support KDE right. All KDE users who i know IRL cannot use either.

And when KDE4 Kwin supports own plugins, there is not so great need for beryl(?).

KDE is made for users....

What can you give to others?

It´s really disgusting. 9 Categories, and just 3 are usefull: 1600 x 1200, 2560 x 1600 and 1280 x 1024 + SVG. This masses of categories are just unclearly. It´s really easy to scale down a bigger picture, but hard to scalpe a too small picture up.

Greets,
Marcel

 Widget box

I think there could be a category for developers to share their nicely created widgets. That would easy up searching for useable widgets a lot.
I did an extra package for my widget "MeterWidget" to my app. "Keda". If there is such an entrance everyone could place such widget classes there like an app..

 Application Addons

My request goes for content-provider customizable categories in order to bring order in the "Other" category on kde-look.org.

I'm the author of Kirocker Music Display and added themes support in 4.0 Beta:
http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Kirocker+Music+Display?content=52869
For the moment, there are less than 10 themes but the number is going to grow.

I would want a "Kirocker Music Display Themes" category.

Now, I think you're going to refuse because it's a too small application, and you can't add another top category for every application that ask this.
Am I wrong?
Or would you want to add the "Kirocker Music Display Themes" category?

Then, there are Amarok Full Screen themes. They need a category on their own. As well as DigiKam plugins, and Kickoff icons... KDE 4 games will certainly come with themable SVGs. A category for each biggest games would come handy.

Such a lot of small applications that need addons such as themes or plugins is a problem. And it mess the category "Other KDE Stuff" for nothing.
Or worst: people use wrong categories. Some Amarok Full Screen themes are in "Amarok Theme". They are not Amarok themes technically speaking.

To solve that problem, I propose to add another top category "Application Addons" (or you name it).

Inside this category, every KDE-look.org content provider will be able to add their own category. Of course, a KDE-look.org administrator can accept or refuse the new sub-category.

Or you can add sub-categories to "Other KDE Stuff". Place it where you want. The important point is that application developers should be able to propose a "Application Addons" in very few clicks, and administrators could accept/refuse it in very few clicks too.

Separate Icon themes from just individual icons.
