Because these are the measures used by Cafepress ;-)

 CafePress

CafePress is US based only isn't it? That means extra money and time in costumes at least for those of us in Europe. I won't buy it for sure, and I my guess is that most people in the EU won't even consider it either.

You are right. However there is no international distributor, but Cafepress ships international at least.

For Europe we are considering other shops. But first we need an initial design.

The front image can no bigger then 20 cm x 25 cm.
The maximum size for the back image can be 20 cm x 25 cm, 25 cm x 20 cm or 25 cm x 10 cm.

Can someone check my math please?

 LGPL

Small point:

"KDE Artists modified LGPL "

It's a clarified LGPL, not a modified version. If it had been modified it wouldn't be able to work with other LGPL licenced material, but it is just some notes to explain how it should apply to artwork.

 How many colors?

by adrenalize on: Jan 16 2005

How many colors should a submitted picture consist of? The shirt-print shops I know usually have a limit of four or five different colors.
So are there any restrictions? Cause I couldn't find something about it in the text.

Thought that's a not unimportant point perhaps, so I'm just asking.

The printer says nothing about limiting the amount of colors you can use. They say the best format to use is PNG and that you need save all files in RGB color mode.

There is no limitation, however the T-Shirt itself should have a light color, best is white.

An alternative would be a different print method using vector graphics, which however implies much more constraints on the design and most T-Shirt shops do not accept SVG, but Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or similar commercial applications.

The colors, they can be prepared or expect to use, separations, CMYK, or expect to do transfer in which one can use RGB, on my part it, seems to me to separate the colors in inks of pot ó prepared call Policromias.

Don't worry about separating the colors or anything. There just 3 things you need to remember...
1. It must be a PNG.
2. It must be RGB color mode.
3. If your images look good printed out on a color printer then they should look good on a t-shirt.

 T-Shirt Presentation

Just a suggestion, what you could do to give the people a better idea of your submission:

tDream has done it very nicely:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=10215

(However keep in Mind, that the T-Shirt should have a light color and that prints on the sleeves are not possible)
