Hi everyone, I love Ubuntu, but this group intrigues me...
Is it from El Salvador or it is Ubuntu el Salvador (the Savior)?

Surely this sorta thing should be over on ubuntuforums.org. The topic for this group is just plain advertising spiel.

Ok, I have seen a lot of your previous posts.
You are a Linux elitist and now, you are everything anti-ubuntu.
I have seen your posts in some work with Vista or Mac themes and in the No Ubuntu Wallpapers group.
You need to leave people alone, since there is something called freedom (which is one of Linux main philosophies).
If this guys want to make a pro-ubuntu group, let them be. It is none of your business.
I hope you understand

try to understand something:

first: this is GNOME-LOOK not ubuntu-look

second: the freedom you say we are trying cut out from you people, is the same freedom you guys are taking from us!
WE do NOT want to be advertised with ubuntu shit everytime we come into GNOME-LOOK (not ubuntu-look), worst than that most people dont have the skills nor the feeling to be a designer, everybody is free to do it but please, look yourself in the mirror.

"YOUR FREEDOM ENDS WERE MY FREEDOM STARTS"!

Third: i am a ubuntu, debian and centOS user, but once again this site is GNOME-LOOK. everybody here now seams to be "Microsoft" ex-users that dont respect nothing and nobody, they just try to make other people eat theyr shit over and over. you are the ones who are not respecting the rest of the people, but this will come to an end when moderators start to delete your "branded" stuff and banne everything besides GNOME stuff, or just plaint simple with NO BRAND and NO ubuntu, or any other brand stamped on it.

respect is for all, and you surly are not respecting others.

WE are NOT trying to make you feel bad, we are just saying, do your designs but do NOT, I REPETE DO NOT stamp Brands and logos on it only Gnome, or none at all, but you can make your designs, just DONT BRAND IT!!!

What if that people feel comfortable with Windows/Mac themes!
You are not going to tell them: Stop using that and use this!!, even though they don't like it.

I think that is the beauty of Linux distros, you can customize everything to match your likes.
So stop being elitist.

I agree with you about branding. I have seen cool GDM's and wallpapers, but I can't use them because they say Linux Mint or Dell.

I hope you also got to the other distro groups on gnome-look.org and give same speech. You can't exlude one distro over another.

Next stop, from "hottest groups" there's Mandriva, PCLinuxOS, mint, slack etc. So you get a busy time ;)

Hey Guys, I've got some free server space I might be willing to trade for coffee beans. Then Ubuntu El Salvador can have its VERY OWN WEB SITE!

Well, I just visited that site, and has the same panels as gnome-look, even this hottest group area with "No Ubuntu Wallpapers", PARDUS, Minty Fresh, and of course, this awesome group.
So I think it is perfectly fine to have this group :P
