I dunno about you but I come to opendesktop
to donwload themes and maybe some apps,
not read about 14 year old idiots who don't
know shit about shit calling microsoft
names an praising canonical.

Lately this little (before very nice
site) has become hq for idiots who don't
have better things to do than troll this
site with windows hate messages, like:

"windows sucks because it coasts money
and has viruses" , yeah!

I mean stuff like:

"software is like sex - it's better when
it's free" -Linus Torvalds

is actually funny, and in an actually
intellectual way.

So in conclusion, if idiots have the
right to troll this site, I have too.

also, I have had a many good laughs
doin it, I mean, the linux fanboys
really are pathetic, I don't even
have to say a bad word about linux,
it's seems to be enough to say:
"windows is good" :D to have them
scream bloody murder.

I mean c'mon, the company that needs
bashing atm is intel for cryin out loud.

I used to participate in serious discussion
here at opendesktop a few years ago...
...now it's all haters of this and that.

It seems all the ppl I participated with
has either fled the scene of just post
their stuff and do not discuss anymore.

I can't actually believe the amount
of crap here these days, it's like pissing
the moderators/editors right in the face.

They put togheter a very nice place and
what do we do?

Hi TheRob,

First of all I really like your work. That said, I'm afraid you might take all these hate groups a bit too serious. I see it as satire.

I am not a Windows hater, yet I despise Microsoft's dirty deeds and I eventually commented twice in this Windows Haters group. I don't take any of those "Hate groups" serious though.

What I really hate is the immature and childish behavior and at times outright insulter on OpenDesktop.

I've seen the kiddies modding down people's contributions, only because these artists are obviously gay or muslim.

Wasn't the FOSS community about diversity?

Oh well, all I want to say is: keep up the good work and please don't let a couple of immature jerks stop you!

personally I think they're overrated :D

Actually I'm not taking them serious at
all, to me they are just a big joke.

However, I cannot understand how they
actually dominate opendesktop, I mean,
one hate group is okey, 376 is not.

Now what does the tell you? there are alot
of idiots here who think they have some
magical os that cannot get viruses etc...

hmmm, do you think I insult ppl??

Personally I think the hate crap is a
direct insult to opendesktop that shows
exactly how much these idiots care for
this community.

Im only an old factory worker, I have learn never graphic, but I think, my worst icon is better like win designer.
Not while Im so good, but this design is so... (I dont know bad English words).

I hate this group, but sometime it gives me inspiration however... to make the development better we need a:
a) A Windows haters group
b) A windows lovers group
c) A Linux haters group
d) A Linux lovers group
e) A mac lovers group
f) A mac haters group
g) A hater haters group
h) Lovers of Anything group
i) Haters of anything group

i just want to say that windows is a good os
but it just doesnt deserve 90 percent of the desktop share thats because of true monopoly...
and linux ppl have worked harder than windows for hardware compatibility.its the hardware manufactures that actually provide high quality drivers for windows and i dont personally feel that aero is more prettier i mean when u change windows 7 theme actually only the colors of title bar and taskbar are changed (and the wallpapers)!

but yeah this kind of behaviour has to stopped "anything not windows is better than it"

Yeah i agree. I only use linux because it is free and highly configurable and cool to tinker with. All the OSS bull people spout pisses me off sometimes. Its just a computer ffs!

Besides 95% of the people that use OSS can afford to pay for software and such anyway so it doesnt really benefit the people it should.

I use GNU/Linux (Kubuntu 9.10, KDE 4.4 RC1), and I like it. I run Ubuntu server 9.10 on my server. And all my other pc's do.

For me, this is perfect!

A friend of mine creates music using apps like Cubase, etc, and he needs Win or Mac, and he loves Mac OS X for doing his multimedia apps so well.

My sister needs certain apps for her higher education. No Linux solution for what she needs.

It's not: "the best OS"
but: "the best OS for the job/person"

I dislike - not hate - ppl who 'hate' an OS. It's so black/white... look for all the kinds of gray in between...

I choose GNU/Linux and KDE <3 for:
a) The "free" as in "i'm free, at last!" :D
b) The "we" as in, what we the community can do for the community
c) The "me" as in, me can config, me can change, me can whatever me want :p
d) The "he" as in, "Now he can try it free like me, thanks to we"


Ow but wait, don't get me wrong, I dislike Microsoft and their products.

personally I dunno, I don't dislike any
operating system, since I was little I
have always found them interesting,
the first graphical shell I used was
dos-shell... well enough blabbering.

I don't dislike any os more than the other,
I just use linux because I like to use it,
nothing deeper than that.

My desktop of choice is obviously kde.

Actually I wonder, TheRob why you do not open a thread about loving Windows on one of the thousand Windows sites already existing. I just don't get what "Windows lovers" has to do with gnome-look.org / opendesktop.org. That seems to be the trolling thing.
