spend enough time with kde4 and you can make it look good. Even then it will be the space hogging, ram hogging POS that it is.

It damn sure doesn't run on ubuntu!

Imo very ugly theme so I'm not doing it,
anyways, you need to know c++ to code
a theme like bespin with connected toolbuttons
and whatnot.

its actually not transparency...
...tho since 1.8 conky has rgba support.

However I only use the option that forks
it to the background, any computer can
handle that.

Ok tried forking it to the background with the -d option. Is that what you mean?

Unfortunately doesn't work for me. I have seen similar problems with my graphics card using transparency with Java. Its crap - can't handle it!

However I managed to set the background as an image in each conkyrc. So it looks okay, but takes up allot of CPU! You can see here:

http://www.splashportal.net/images/Conky-Lotus-Rings.png

But, If I only use the Text meter - no rings - it seems to run okay.

http://www.splashportal.net/images/Conky-Lotus-Meter.png

Looks like I need a new computer!

Looks ok....

...however, what I'm talking about is this:

own_window yes
own_window_type override
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_hints undecorate,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager,below

This adds faked transparency so conky
uses the wallpaper as background.

just add that to your conkyrc and should be
fine, however plasma is known to
be a bitch when it comes to conky, so if
it does not work, then it's prolly cause
of plasma, because this really does not take a lot of cpu time

Lua scripting can take up more tho, I
haven't really noticed but still... could.

//Robert
take up much cpu

@TheRob, yes, compiz-fusion runs/ran just fine on the 256mb nvidia card, it just ran better in gnome or xfce4 :) The same goes for my intel graphics. lol.

Ah yes, apologies for mistaking the media player for a file manager (no idea what was wrong with me back there)

Also, thanks for the kind words.
Here's another Openbox screenshot. As usual, everything is custom, except icons(ACYL) and fonts(Artwiz).

Still not completely happy with my tint2 panel config, though.

Very nice again man :)

well, personally I like to have somekinda
frame thingy around inactive tasks also,
but that's just me, everything else on
tint looks good tho, incuding the font ;-)

Was using the artwiz fonts myself back
in the day when I was going for a more
"techy" look :)
