Description:

Concept
This time I wanted to create a darker theme with a pixmap bg. Further all control-elements (buttons, scrollbars... etc) should be transparent.
To create this overlay effect and getting it displayed correctly wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and this may cause problems. This makes the theme pretty experimental as well... :)

Contents
+ 2xgtk
+ 2xmetacity
+ xfwm4
+ 2xemerald
+ gdm
+ userContent.css (Firefox3)
+ NowPlaying screenlet theme

GDM
If you have a widescreen monitor, please rename the file "bg-wide.png" to "bg.png" in the gdm-theme directory.

Metacity
Because metacity resizes the titlebar if the title font is too big, I recommend to use the font "snap" as window title font. With other fonts try sizes around 7 and 8.

Note
To enjoy the theme in all it's sexyness be sure to copy the userContent.css to your firefox profile.
If you find any bugs please let me know (if you have a minute a screenhot would be much appreciated).
The pattern for the bg is from theinspirationgallery.com (modified of course).

Screenshot
The wallpaper (also used as bg for the gdm-theme) is from mandolux.com (slightly modified). Thx again Mando for letting me use it!
Icons: Smokikon by magnussuther http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Smokikon?content=90577
Font: Snap (artwiz)

+ new expander style
+ widescreen gdm-bg

v0.4
+ many improvements of the gtk-theme
+ new gtk version with tool- and menubar (Mirav2)
+ new Emerald and Metacity (Mirav2)

+ xfwm4 theme

 firefox buttons

hello,
i am a great lover of dark themes and there are so few that actually make it worth the effort of installing themn.
This is one that is worth it! :)
however I do have one issue at this point and that is the firefox buttons,

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/132551/firfos.png

The text is not visible..I realize there are several issues in general with dark themes,,of course firefox..proper color and value definitions..etc.
I have only just now installed this and so far this seems to be the only issue

Hey guy,
I have a couple things here...
When changing the name of a file or directory the cursor blink cannot be seen..this is pretty difficult to be sure just where the cursor blink is :)
Thanks
i still love this theme:)

Thank you for your comments. I don't use gnome and nautilus so I didn't notice the cursor problem.
However it's fixed now, just redownload the theme and all should be fine. Thanks again for informing me about this problem :)

You said that you fixed your firefox problem already but I just want to clear something up.
All you have to do to get the firefox3 display right with dark-themes in generell is to modify the "userContent.css".
Just copy the userContent.css that I included in this release (in the Mira folder) to "/home/YourUser/.mozilla/firefox/215sd414f5.YourProfile/chrome"
an restart firefox.

nothing much ATM...

Excellent theme! The usercontent.css has some problems, though. The gradient backround on some sites (E.g.: ubuntu homepage and penny arcade) don't scale properly, as a result, some complex sites like linux.com are badly mangled...
the google search results are also shifted by a few pixels... anti-google measure? lol :)

Other than that, this is probably the best dark theme i've used yet!

Thank you very much!

Actually I don't know much about the firefox config files. I'll learn more about it and then I'll hopefully be able to fix it! :)
