Description:

It is time to give a modern and professional look to our desktop! The new theme makes more clever use of orange (not over-use it) and is mainly color-neutral. It is designed for Ubuntu in mind but can be used in other distros that may bear warm colors.

Installation: (requires pixbuf theme engine)
Very simple. Just double click the file newwave-(xxx).gtp where (xxx) is the version number e.g. 050. Note that if you have previous version of the theme in your home folder you need to remove it first. You may need to log out then log in to make all changes appear (e.g. handlers, lines). For more information on how to fix Firefox's menubar text and how to use the theme in root programs see the README file.

Extras:
The package also contains:
- New Wave Configurator (GUI),
- Emerald themes,
- Compiz-fusion settings,
- Second theme with dark menus,
- Firefox skin,
- Some metacity tweaks.
- Time applet tips.
Theme for xfwm4 (Xubuntu) can be downloaded in the Download section of this page.

The only problem I'm having is that the list of tomboy notes is a light gray list with slightly darker gray text.

Thanks for the feedback.
You should report that as a bug in the Gnome's bugzilla though. All other programs work fine even inside the Tomboy's menu if you point to Notebooks the submenu is using the correct colors.

after a restart, my whole gnome-panel is light grey. Is this intended? The screen shots still show it as dark grey

No it is not intended. Try to download the theme from here and install it over the current one:

 Little thing with banshee-1

When you put the mouse over the banshee icon in the notification area, it shows the song being played, but the background looks bad, looks like just take the gnome panel background as his own background.

Tangerine is a temporary solution for now because the Elementary Ubuntu are still under development and not easy to download.

New Wave is using pixmap engine now because customizing its own would be too difficult and would not be available to everybody. So the source code for that experimental engine I wrote is obsolete and should not be considered at all.

 dust-gtk and new wave-metacity

Hi,

I like your theme a lot. especially your metacity-theme.

on the ubuntu-artwork-site i found this:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Intrepid/DustTheme

i like it a lot, but i think your metacity-theme would make it perfect. at the moment your metacity is to bright to fit to dust. so could you make a darker one that fits exactly to the dust-theme-color? that would be very cool! the orange when you slide over your metacity-buttons could be a bit darker then. pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaseeeeee make one for dust!!! pleaaaaseee!!!
thank yoooooooouuuuuuuuuu

Will see what I can do about it but probably the creators of Dust would like to do that. I will give them my metacity theme with pleasure.
