Description:

I made a new port of the Oxygen-style for GNOME.
This is probably the most accurate one that exists.

*Update*

I have read the comments on my blog and here, so I fixed some issues like slightly different bg colors etc. (but still no hover for sliders and check/radio boxes).
I also added a Metacity theme.

Changelog:

-new arrows
-new spinbuttons/spinbutton-entry
-bg-color fixes, button-streching fixes
-new scrollbar background
-removed vertical-lines from comboboxes
-new vertical-range sliders
-checkbutton margin added
-increased thickness of buttons and comboboxes
-removed panelstyle (it's customizable by the user now)
-added Metacity theme
-removed focuslines (uncomment line 21 in the gtkrc file if you want them back)
-new frames

Its a very accurate recreation of Oxygen. I like it and I think its very close to perfect. I just dont like copying other styles...I always feel like the copy is just a wannabe of whatever it's copying. Gnome isn't that gnome is the best--so I always want it to have it's own theme. still, good work on this!

I think a black 160 rgb should look great too, do you? ;)

This is indeed the only port of KDE4-Oxygen that looks satisfactory. I am actually using this in KDE4.1 to get a unified look. However, there seems to be something wrong with the highlighting. In firefox it is still ok (the selected items turn white) however in pidgin there is no effect at all. Maybe you could investigate this.
Kudos for the great work.

This new version is much better than before. You really are the best at working with the pixmap engine.

I think there's a few things I can point out, sorry if it's long but it'll probably save you some time looking for them:
- Tab backgrounds don't have the right light sources, they look like the same image was just flipped around. Also, I think oxygen's active tabs glow blue.
-Checkbutton backgrounds were fixed, but radiobuttons still have slightly off bg in corners.
-Optionmenu button has different arrows than rest of theme.
-In twf, the GtkCombo doesn't have the same nice button as the ComboboxEntry button.
-When progressbars are smaller than a certain %, they have a larger width than the progressbar background.
-In the new update, the buttons cut off the top and bottom of icons in the window-list.

"- Tab backgrounds don't have the right light sources, they look like the same image was just flipped around. Also, I think oxygen's active tabs glow blue."

The bottom/left/right tab-notebooks are indeed just flipped because it's a lot of work to create them, but I will correct it when I have time and feel bored. :)
The active tabs don't glow in the kde4 I am currently using parallel (KDE 4.0).

"-Checkbutton backgrounds were fixed, but radiobuttons still have slightly off bg in corners.
-Optionmenu button has different arrows than rest of theme."

Oh, I will fix it in the next update.

"-In twf, the GtkCombo doesn't have the same nice button as the ComboboxEntry button."

Unfortunately it is not possible to create nice GtkCombos (the ones with entries) because this widget is deprecated and was replaced by GtkComboBoxEntry (the pixmap engine doesn't support prober skinning of it).

"-When progressbars are smaller than a certain %, they have a larger width than the progressbar background."

Yes, I noticed that and I will try to fix it.

"-In the new update, the buttons cut off the top and bottom of icons in the window-list."

That's because I have increased the thickness of buttons. The minimum recommended panelheight is now 26px.

Thank you for reporting everything!

It's no problem. thanks for looking into it!

I think the tab glow must be because I've tried KDE 4.1 and not 4.0
