Million_voices

I combined two themes that i found here which i like a lot

Dark ice

excellent works, many thanks to their respective creators

theme doesn't contain any icons but i think Glass Icons theme that also can be found here is a good match and a terrific creation (many thanks also)

the 1680x1050 wallpaper that appears on the screenshot is included (it is not my work, i only processed it a bit to match the colours of the theme)

*** THEME IS TESTED AND FOUND TO BE OK ON UBUNTU 8.04 (Gnome) ***



-= I N S T A L L A T I O N =-

1) Unpack contents

2) copy to /usr/share/themes (sudo nautilus from console if necessary)

3) bring up the themes manager (right click on desktop,change desktop backround,themes)
scroll the list of themes,find million_voices theme,select it,apply the included backround and close,if you have downloaded glass icons theme and placed it correctly at /usr/share/icons it will be activated also

if the above fail for any reason

bring up the themes manager then select themes,customize and choose million_voices controls and window borders also use the wallpaper from /usr/share/themes/million_voices

4) change taskbar backround with /usr/share/themes/million_voices/gtk-2.0/panel/panel-bg.png (right click on taskbar,properties,backround,backround image)

5) alter start button

gconf-editor (console)
go to apps/nautilus/panel/objects/object_0
edit "object_type" with value "menu-object"
check "use_custom_icon"
edit "custom_icon" with value "/usr/share/themes/million_voices/gtk-2.0/panel/startbutton.png"

keep notes of the changes you do with gconf-editor in case you are not happy with the results

a conkyrc added with usefull info about your pc

unpack,rename to .conkyrc,copy to your home folder

you need conky of course
