Description:

J. Aroche's Vienna3 for CursorXP, converted to an X11 cursor.
Javier has agreed on providing me with a ubuntu logo animation for the 'AppStarting' animation, previously had a Windows logo.
Some animations have been changed to ones that don't cause glitches on the desktop when compiz-fusion is enabled, and the "hand" image has been replaced with a much more interesting animation from J.Aroche.

Link to Original for CursorXP:
http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=2412&libid=25
This is a .CursorXP file, rename to zip and extract it for the source.

I don't have anywhere to upload the script for it including the renamed .pngs, but I haven't made any major changes, only changed the cursor scripts whereever I changed the animation(.png) to the one previously held, if you really need it (or really believe i'm violating the GPL) I can post the differences between the original and mine.
After downloading the .CursorXP the original Author's license is valid.

Update: Giving credit to Moony and his outstanding perl script:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/CursorXP%2BFX+to+X11+Mouse+Theme+Converter?content=72405
without which i'd have to get myself to learn how to properly create X11 Mouse Themes

Hand cursor wasn't pretty. And no it didn't transform to a hand, it just changed to a hand, if by continuous you mean that.
Source is the zip file, I uploaded the ubuntu animation, the rest is in comments, thanks for pointing this out.

extract the zip and then install the theme (.tar.gz) from the themes window. Can't help you more if you don't specify your distro.

"ubuntico" Let me guess ;p (didn't see it before)
Install it by System -> Preferences Appearance.
Drag & Drop the .tar.gz in the first tab, where you can see all the themes.
Click Apply new theme.

Great Theme! Could you make it in orange? Also, It would be nice if the ubuntu logo faded in and faded back out instead of fading in over and over again, but I'm just being picky.

 Install

Hello!
By the looks of it should be a very nice cursor theme but...
I followed the instructions posted earlier for ubuntu (I use gutsy), but can't install the theme as a cursor theme. Dropping the .tar.gz over the Apperance window/first tab indicates the theme has been successfully installed, but it shows among the icons themes (as a name only entry) not among the cursors. I've then looked at the tarball and noticed the file is index.theme, and inside the bracketed text says [Icons Theme] (first line). I don't know much about this things but it looks wrong to me... Could you please help, I'm really looking forward to using the theme.
Thanks!

Right, always try to install cursors like I stated above, but ofcourse, like everything in Linux(and life ;P) there is another way.

Press alt + f2 and type this in:
nautilus ~/.icons

This just opens the hidden folder ".icons" in your home folder.
Another way is to go by Places -> Home Folder, and then press Ctrl+H, to show the hidden files, and double click .icons.

Extract the .tar.gz file, and move the folder with its contents inside .icons

Go to System -> Preferences Appearance, choose Customize.. Move to tab "Pointer" and select it.
Notice that there is no icon.
You might need to restart firefox for it to work on firefox before logging out (and skype, for that matter)
