its actually kind of nice. very simple.

the metacity theme isnt very good, but it fits well.

also, there are problems telling some things apart. for instance: in nautilus, the side pane almost blends with the main area.

also, the preview makes it look like just a metacity theme. add a real screenshot

The metacity theme is nice. I like the simplicity of it.

However, your GTK theme doesn't make effective use of contrast or texture.

it seems that everything is part of each other. there is no separation. and that makes it confusing for a user who is seeing an application for the first time.

maybe if we saw some subtle gradients? light shadowing? subtle contrast with GTK widgets?

I really love the screenshot : )

like you said, it effectively creates some mystery.

and the level of zoom and just the positioning of everything makes it look very slick and modern.
