great idea :), but afaik first suse was derivate from slack.

Not quite correct.
Yes, 1 or 2 very early versions were based on Slackware but from 4.2 (that is pretty much seen as the first "real" S.u.S.E. Linux release) on it had its own codebase and had nothing in common with Slackware any more.

Now how to put that on the graph... ;)

mandrake derived from redhat and damn small was first based on debian then later knoppix for the hardware detection.

RMS didn't start demanding it be called "GNU/Linux" until; 1996, but your chart is calling it that in 1991. Huh?
