Description:

"Candido" is an Italian word that means "candid", smooth things and feelings...
This theme is provided with this good feeling. :)

"Candido" is based on "Gray" theme by me and then Mint.
For the rest... There's two version of "Candido", (the Light one is a little bit bright, from #e7e7e7 to #eaeaea for the background, and it has different tabs).

I'm planning new colored versions and a package with a few modified window borders.
Please ask me before make any *color* mods, because I'm planning to do new colored versions in the future!
Please comment is you have found any bug or if you request some new features!

Suggestions are always welcome!

… you're trying to make the theme more soft now?

Don't know if I'd like it as much as I like Gray.

But i'm looking forward to see the development, so keep it up!

I kind of wish the title bar wasn't so blended....usability issue I guess.

There's also a bug in the screenshot to nautilus titlebar... in my system it has the same color of the background.

Why usability problems?

Because not having a defined title bar (such as in ClearLooks) makes it difficult to grab and move the window, since the title bar is the only place you can grab it. It causes a lot of "missed grabs".

I think this theme (and many other similar ones) *look* amazing, but I don't use any of them, and this is the exact reason why. I got too frustrated trying to move windows around and missing.

This kind of thing works in OS/X because you can grab the window in more places but the title bar. Basically anywhere on the window frame works. Gnome (at least my default Ubuntu Gnome) doesn't work like that. If you had anything at all showing separation between the title and menu bars, this would easily be one of my favorite themes to use. Until then, it's just nice to look at.

Idea:
Grab the window clicking on the title! (which is _always_ in the titlebar).

Furthermore I'll release a metacity package with addictionally metacity to the default one.

This is nice, but I hope it doesn't replace the old theme. Please keep the old one available for download and spin this one off as a separate theme.

of course... this one is only a variation... and I think is probably less usable (but nicer).

I don't have ideas for the new name...

I like it. But I would even like it more if it would not remain a preview ;)

Any chance to get this wallpaper?

Cheers, Daniel

looks promising.. but the window corners seem to be a little bit too.. well.. sharp. if it is your intention to make the whole thing smoother (like it seems), you should consider making the corners a little bit softer as well..

With metacity is not possible to make the corners only a little bit smooth:
rounded or squared. No other possibilities
