Description:

Gray version of the nice theme "Mint" by lokheed, with a new Metacity theme!
Gray-Flat has got different menubar and different metacity (obviusly you can use Gray-Flat with Gray metacity theme!).
Stavrosg made a port of the metacity for Xfwm4! Enjoy his work!

For Gray lovers!

11th Feb: VIDEO OF GRAY WITH XGL!!! (Thanks to flowolf)
http://www.webalice.it/cimi86/files/xgl_gray.avi

Changelog:

[Feb 19th,2006][1.7]
Unnoticeable changes in the metacity (polished some pixels).

[Feb 9th,2006][1.6]
Small fixes... modified metacity buttons... now minimize, maximize, close symbols (focused and pressed state) are more black.
Modified titlebar inactive color (a little brighter to be more homogeneous with all theme)

[Jan 31st,2006][1.5]
Great improvement! All pixmaps were converted to Grayscale! This has improved sharpness of widgets and theme performances (it is faster)!
(From 370KB to 265KB for the two themes)

[Jan 30th,2006][1.4]
Modified Metacity title focused color.
Modified some Gtk colors (bg, base and text... thanks to bvc!) to make the theme more usable.

[Jan 29th,2006][1.3.1]
Added KDE Color Scheme for all your QT applications under GNOME! (like k3b or skype!)
Follow the link!

[Jan 26th,2006][1.3]
Fixed metacity-shaded state.
Added a new metacity theme for Gray-Flat theme.

[Jan 24th,2006][1.2]
Improvements and fixes in metacity (now button borders have same colors of gtk theme buttons).
Changed tooltip background color.

[Jan 23rd,2006][1.1]
Update the gtk theme to "Mint" 2.0.
Then added a Gray-Flat version that ignored the menubar changes with "Mint" 2.0 (I prefer the Flat ones).
Fixed the font color in progressbar.
Fixed colors of metacity buttons.
Fixed alignment of metacity buttons.

[Jan 21st,2006][1.0]
First public release.

I made a rough port of the metacity theme to xfwm4, which can be found here:

This theme rocks! :-)

Your theme looks perfect with SnowIsh (PNG).

This is a very good theme! I was just wondering about the X (close Window)-does it look a little "thin" compared to min. and max? Maybe its just my lcd monitor.

Anyway thanks!

Yes, this one works.

Looks nice but could get annoying due to the delay for showing objects like submenus and such.

And I guess my hardware won't be enough for XGL (unless my ATI-cards supports the composite-extension).

 Nice.... but

I like this theme A LOT however, I do not at all like the dark-colour of the menu on the panel. The menu on the panel should be the same colour as the rest of the panel unless it is clicked.

Nice, slick and clean.
The hovereffect for the buttons is decent and I like it.

The theme seems to go pretty well with tango, nice work.

 Panel background?

by smitjel on: Feb 17 2006

Why doesn't your panel background graphic go all the way across? Why doesn't it cover "Applications, Places, System"?

The theme called "Black" does do this and it's supposed to be based off your theme. I think it looks better like this. Any plans for this or could you explain how it could be done? Thanks!

it's because black uses for the menubar the same pixmap of the panel. I think that my version is better, but the modification is simple: just overwrite menubar pixmap with the panel pixmap!
