Description:

Fast brushed Clearlooks theme made to loosely resemble OSX Tiger

Contains two variations: classic (fast) and aquastyle with blue decorations and aqualike scrolbars (not so fast), and two subvariations of each: normal and bright for different monitors.

Also it contains different metacity themes: T-ish-Brushed-Glass (now default) and T-ish-Brushed (classical flat). If you are using compizinstall T-ish-Metal compiz theme (link below).

Choose your desired combination through theme details dialog.

DOES NOT WORK WITH CLEARLOOKS-CAIRO !!

Based on Clerlooks engine, Ish GTK theme with additional buttons from Expose and GlossyP metacity borders.

Requires clearlooks engine.

IMPORTANT: In order to install all of the themes you'll have to manually extract to ~/.themes dir.

For best results use OSX icons, jaguax mouse theme, and Brushed firefox skin (links below).

To-do list:
- transparent panels

I'm also an ex KDE user who made heavy use of Baghira. It's been the only thing I've really missed since making the transition to gnome. Thanks for providing a theme that's somewhat reminiscent of it. It makes up in part for what I lost. I'd also very much like to see the additions already recommended (ie. more blue + Mac like scrollbars). Could you also package up a brushed chrome version of your theme (using the .png provided in an earlier post). I decided to give it a try and I love the result.

Obviously, it's time for me to start planning version 1.0 with all those requested features. I will need some time, but it will be published :)

Toni

Through gconf-editor.

On ubuntu: go to:
Applications->System tools->Configuration editor

when gconf is started go to:
apps->metaycity->general

and into button_layout field put the following values:

close,minimize,maximize:menu

Hope it helps,

Icons you have to install separately. Search for OSX icons on this site.
Bottom bar as you say is gdesklets applet starterbar. So you have to install gDesklets http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org, and then starterbar plugin.

Cheers,

Toni

Hi!

Installed the new theme today and chaged to tish bright with aqua controls. Its looking really nice. What do you think yourself about the performance speed? Ill give it a try and see how it works on long distance. Besides I think this desktop goes well with it:

Thanks,

Well, theme should be considerably fast comparing to other brushed themes.

Aqua versions are little bit slower because they call pixmap engine for scrollbars, but overall it should be pretty fast also.

I'm using it on my laptop and it's fast enough where many other themes are not.

Of yourse plain T-ish is much faster :))
