Very nice theme. Works perfectly in Ubuntu 10.10.
ButchZ, I had the same problem with other themes. I could fix it by editing the file .gtkrc-2.0 in /home/user/.
There I commented the line containing the name of another theme with #.
I hope you can fix it.

It looks like your gtk engines are out of date.
The murrine I have installed is 0.98, you have 0.90
And the pixbuf you have is 2.20, when I have 2.22.
So the way to fix it would probably be to update your engines.
So I'd get a deb for whatever architecture you have:
murrine: http://www.google.com/search?hl=chr&client=ubuntu&hs=v3l&channel=fs&q=murrine+0.98+deb&btnG=%E1%8E%A0%E1%8F%B1%E1%8F%8D%E1%8F%97
pixbuf: http://www.google.com/search?hl=chr&client=ubuntu&hs=2QR&channel=fs&q=pixbuf+2.22+deb&btnG=%E1%8E%A0%E1%8F%B1%E1%8F%8D%E1%8F%97

Thanks for the quick response and for the search you've done for me,
but is it possible for you to make it work under 10.04
because I'm too lazy right now & don't want to update engines.

You mean me do an update on the theme?
I don't even really know why it doesn't work in 10.04, so I can't think of anything to fix it other than update the engine to what is needed.
It's only downloading and installing one or two debs anyway ;)

This theme is very nice! Voted good and using it right now! But I'd like to see a version with thinner scrollbars please :) These are very thick and they use much of my notebook screen.

Thank you!
I might be able to make one with thinner scrollbars, how thick would you like the scrollbars?
Now they are 20px, so do you want 10? 15?

I think 10 pixels is a good value :)

Ok, do you want steppers, or not?
And which side for the buttons (if you're using metacity)?
I'll just make one for you quickly.

Well, I actually don't know what the steppers are, so you can forget them or explain me what they are :)

I use metacity with buttons to the right.

Many thanks!!!

The steppers are the up and down arrows on the scrollbars. I mean do you want it with or without the arrows.
It's not that much of a big deal, just recreating the scrollbars at a slightly smaller scale.

Great work so far ! BUT Some (hopefully helpful criticism !) I would rename the content of the index files so they all can be installed London smoke, London smoke-sl London smoke-l ect. and provide the link to dependencies, Icon theme mistEEK, or better yet, lose that in the index all together and make it a suggested Icon theme ! I hate to have to search and download something I might not want and when changing to a theme that calls for a icon theme, I don't have tends to screw up custom icons ! I have not been through the GTKrc as yet, but I do find some applications that have black text on your dark Grey, Other than that I find you have done a Great job and hope to see more from you ! and others as well I really get tired of the rehashed crap that some put out and call New ! This is truly a step in right (next) Direction ! KUDOS ! My friend ! Keep up the Great work !

Thanks for your support! :)
Renaming the themes is a good idea, I think I'll do that.
I included the icon theme in the index.theme so that it would show up as its own theme in the Appearance Preferences, and you wouldn't have to go to "customize". If you don't have an icon theme it doesn't show up.
As for the colours, I have tried my best to get them working as well as I can, that's what part of the delay was for. Some programs, like Firefox and Thunderbird may not look right (in the menubars), but I haven't figured out how to fix this.

Thanks again, bud!

Good job, it is hard to find good dark themes because of contrast and bugs.

PS: I saw you visited my profile, and I am new here. In fact, I created an account a while ago, but I just began to contribute, so if I do something wrong, tell me please =)

Thanks for the theme!

Thanks a lot!
I tried to get the theme working as well as I could with the colours, it seems that it just doesn't look right with Firefox and Thunderbird.

@the last part: No problem, man :)

One thing can be improve (in my opinion! I'am a webmaster lol, not a gnome designer!): it more easy to customize a theme with transparent buttons in the gnome panel, I think. Like in elegant gnome for example. But I don't know if it is easy, depending of the engine, etc, I never tried to create gtk themes!

It would be easy to make the panel buttons transparent, just redirect the file paths to a transparent image.
But wouldn't you want any panel buttons? I sure would.

I speak of the background of the panel buttons: in a lot of dark themes, there is a background color (grey for example) witch hide the panel picture. I will show you with a screenshot lol, not sure of my English :p

Oh, so have the background of the panel partially transparent?
I don't really think it matches the rest of the theme...

Maybe not. I always use picture for the gnome panel background (I mean: with right click, properties etc) and I can't when there are non-transparent buttons. But I think a lot of people keep the "normal" panel background... Well, good theme, thanks for your time :p
