good morning

i think you can not make entry aera as rounded without strange looking

maybe aurora-engine can (im not used to) or pixmap theme (im not used too)

for my taste the scrollbars are too big... btw

voted good

Okay, I'm thinking about making them squared, but I want to know if it's possible first. About the scrollbars: The original mockup had thick scrollbars and range-sliders, so I made them that way. I think I will probably have a version with large sliders and one with small ones, since some people might find the big ones, well, unsatisfactory. Also, Nautilus-Elementary's zoom-slider needs a smaller range, so I have a version with a smaller range already. So don't worry, it won't be all like that :)
Thanks for the vote :)

good evening

you can as in this screenshot delete the smal arrow to the scrollbar to fit the mockup

http://i.imgur.com/mQ1h4.png

it's highlighted into the gtkrc as you can see.

im wondering if the mockup shows in details or if it is the size he wanted for real?

hav a good night

Actually, I have a version without the arrows, I'm just also doing one with them, in case people want them.
And, maybe you're right, I don't know, but I started out using large images, but, as I said, I'm doing a small one for the people who want it.

I think you should use a brighter blue than this one (like "Ambiance Blue"'s kind of blue) and make a version with normal titlebar. This would make me use this theme and give you a thumbs up...

I made a little mockup with a lighter blue and I don't think it looks quite so good. As for the titlebar, you mean the window border (min/max on the right)? That is not part of the theme, it's just the Emerald theme I was using when I too the screenshot. I plan on making my own window border theme to go with it, though, and it will be normal :)

Did you try with this 0f38c9 (hexadecimal) it will be good, I edited you screenshot with it and it was fine.

Also, could you try to build a good integration with Google Chrome?

I gave it a try with that, and I just like the normal colours better, sorry. And, no I won't do anything with Google Chrome, I use Firefox, and have no idea how to do Chrome integration.

 Buttons and whatnot

 by manicfold on: Mar 2 2011

Hi, some remarks after looking at the mockups:

- Content in buttons is not centered vertically, while it looks fine in the combo boxes. Can be seen especially in the button at the top which contains the "+" image.

- Contrast in active tabs is too low. Consider using a darker foreground color. Why is the color differrent from the one used in togglebutton1? There the contrast is better, although I'd make the text a little brighter there.

- Headings of boxes touch the box frame at the left side. I'd leave a small space there, as you did on the right.

- Why is there a glossy look in the table heading?

- Ugly handle at the toolbar, but I guess that is obvious :)

- The arrow in the light "ComboBox" should be dark as the one in the light "OptionMenu"

- Text in the menu is too bright. Consider too make it a little darker.

Keep up the good work - I like the concept!

The buttons have a light highlight on the bottom, so when the images on them are added, they look a bit off-centre. I don't really want to make the buttons any smaller, so I have been leaving the off-centre thing for now.

I've also noticed the active tabs having too low contrast. I want to change the colour of the text, but it doesn't seem to change when I change the value. I've been meaning to fix this, but I can't seem to get it. :/ Oh, and "togglebutton" 1 is using the "pressed" button state, which is darker. The active tab is using the "prelight" state.

I'm not sure what you mean by "headings of boxes".

The table heading has a glossy look because I can't seem to get the murrine code right for a smooth transition.

The handles are fine, it's just TheWidgetFactory has some weird glitch with giving them a white background all the time.

For the arrows, yeah, I'll fix that, thanks.

You mean text in the menubar ("Theme")? I guess I could tweak that.

Thanks for the support and feedback :D

I meant the labels on the frames :) I should have been clearer on that.

Cheers!

Hmm... yeah, I think they are 1 pixel off on the right side, and right against on the left. I don't know why that would be, the code is all the same, I think.

Try this (blatantly stolen from elementary):

style "murrine-treeview-header" = "murrine-default"
{
ythickness = 1

GtkWidget ::focus-padding = 0

bg[NORMAL] = shade (1.08, @bg_color)
bg[PRELIGHT] = @bg_color
bg[INSENSITIVE] = shade (1.04, @bg_color)

engine "murrine" {
gradient_shades = {0.56,0.04,0.05,0.18}
glazestyle = 1
contrast = 1.0
roundness = 0
}
}

# Treeview header
widget_class "*.<GtkTreeView>.<GtkButton>" style "murrine-treeview-header"
widget_class "*.<GtkCTree>.<GtkButton>" style "murrine-treeview-header"
widget_class "*.<GtkList>.<GtkButton>" style "murrine-treeview-header"
widget_class "*.<GtkCList>.<GtkButton>" style "murrine-treeview-header"

# Workarounds for Evolution
widget_class "*.ETable.ECanvas" style "murrine-treeview-header"
widget_class "*.ETree.ECanvas" style "murrine-treeview-header"

Thanks, I noticed that the middle numbers of the {1,3,2,4} were reversed, so I tried that , and I think it helps out, for some reason. So I played around, and it's working now :D

^^ There is a preview on deviantArt, since it wouldn't let me upload a jpg under the GTK category.

Hi! First I would like to say thank you for your help and support for my project :)
About your breadcrumbs, they don't really match the theme all the way, sorry. I mean the button-style I'm using, everything matches. Also, I just finished the breadcrumbs.
Thanks, though :)
