Thanks BVC glad to see your recent updates - Sometime maybe you could explain how you did the arrows in Onux - overall it's a great theme but those arrows are the best I've seen.

LOL! Arrows were done pixel by pixel. I'm no pro :\. Thanks for noticing. Arrows have always been my weakest element IMO. I spent more time on them in Onux than any other theme. If I may ask, what do you not like about Onux? Lack of contrast? That seems to be the biggest complaint.

Thanks there is nothing I do not like about onux it has been a memorable favorite the scrolls are great too.. but your work on the arrows definitely paid off as they give a sense of real world realism.

Strange not having that problem here - but check your colors are set to default then open up the gtkrc in your text editor and search for calendar the color settings of the style are simple to adjust... if the problem persists send me a note with a copy paste and I'll see what I can do...

I'll be uploading 0.4 shortly in which I have made adjustments to the panel text states etc
so I'll double check the calendar style now.

I'll take a look and get back to you on it tomorrow - but tell me what type of menu is that? What app or dock does it come from as I do not recognise it as a standard gnome calendar - I may need to write a custom style for it speciffically if I can...

Ah I see I will have to install Awn and then investigate it's settings... If I can I'll try and write a custom style for it but this can be tricky as I will need the full path of the widget in order to deal with it - Possibly though,
will get in touch tomorrow after I've worked with it.

I think I have a similar problem: the Xfce clock doesn't contrast the black background. I've seen this in some other themes, but I can find a substitute theme. I didn't see a "clock" setting in the gtkrc, and I couldn't figure out where to set it. Do you know where I could lighten the font color?

 Paranoid 0.4

 by pissnaround on: Dec 15 2010

just downloaded the latest version and am having some problems. I had installed the earlier versions on two other Linux distros. this one when I tried to install it had no index.theme, the theme isn't showing in the appearance panel but the window borders and controls do if I select a theme and select customize, but the controls are showing up as white.

any thoughts?

btw, in the previous version there were two folders included in the theme archive, one mat and one shiny, now there are just metacity and old metacity.

ok, I re-downloaded the archive and now it had 3 themes, paranoid, paranoid 0.3 and paranoid 0.4. the index file for 0.4 actually said MetacityTheme=psp. I changed it to MetacityTheme=Paranoid 0.4. I tried all 3 versions and the controls for all of them are white. Also, in the index file for Paranoid 0.4 there is a suggested Background which points to a folder apparently only you have.

anyway, so far it's not working

I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem but the Archive is perfect and all folders are contained within individual archives each containing a gtk 2 , metacity and index file - to avoid confusion - I'd suggest removing all previous versions before re-installing 0.4

apparently it was something to do with the distro I was trying to install it on. I just installed it in Debian and it's fine. It might have to do with the fact I had to compile the Equinox engine. Although the Equinox themes seem to work.

anyway, thanks for responding :)

 Calendar Fixed

In response to Trotil's " Awn"s Digital Clock Calendar Widget bug" I rewrote the Evolution mail calendar style and all calendars system wide are now fully legible.

# ----------------------------------------------------------------------

style "murrine-evolution-GtkECalendar"
{
bg[NORMAL] = mix(0.25, @selected_bg_color, @bg_color)
bg[SELECTED] = shade(1.14, @bg_color)

fg[NORMAL] = @text_color

text[NORMAL] = @text_color
text[SELECTED] = @selected_fg_color
text[ACTIVE] = @selected_fg_color

base[NORMAL] = @base_color
base[SELECTED] = @selected_bg_color
base[ACTIVE] = @selected_fg_color

text[ACTIVE] = shade(0.50, @selected_bg_color)
}
widget_class "*.ECalendar" style "murrine-evolution-GtkECalendar"
widget_class "*.<GtkCalendar>*" style "murrine-evolution-GtkECalendar"
