Great Job!!
Howerever, I thought it would be better if the black line beneath the "toolbar" and beside the "sidebar" disappear!
(I'm now using Ubuntu 10.10)

Thanks again for your sharing such marvelous works^^

I just installed this and every time I try to uninstall it this is what I get
"~/Downloads/Macbuntu-10.10$ '/home/andrew/Downloads/Macbuntu-10.10/uninstall.sh'

Macbuntu - Mac OS X Transformation Pack

Deinstallation script

Attention!
This script will slide back to default Ubuntu desktop
all Macbuntu-10.10 components will be removed permanently

Checking Ubuntu version...
Passed

Checking currently installed version of Macbuntu-10.10...
cat: /home/andrew/.macbuntu/current: Input/output error
Failed. Currently installed version is not compatible with this uninstall
Exiting..."

I went to go check the current file under /home/user/.macbuntu/10.10-2.3 the file is empty zero bytes... so any ideas on how I unstall this? (not that I don't like it)

I think this will help solve the problem:

rm -f ~/.macbuntu/current

echo "10.10-2.3" > ~/.macbuntu/current

~/.macbuntu/10.10-2.3/uninstall.sh

Interesting. Try to reinstall macbuntu and then uninstall again. Please wait until the entire installation process will end. Do not restart the system.

Then:
wget https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/macbuntu/macbuntu-10.10/v2.3/Macbuntu-10.10.tar.gz -O /tmp/Macbuntu-10.10.tar.gz && tar xzvf /tmp/Macbuntu-10.10.tar.gz -C /tmp && cd /tmp/Macbuntu-10.10/ && ./install.sh

/tmp/Macbuntu-10.10/uninstall.sh

But before you do that set the proper permissions to the files. Is it possible that you do not have the rights?

sudo chown andrew -R .macbuntu/

 Macbuntu question help

I have a quick question. I had macbuntu installed on my computer. there was this cool feature that when you exit out of a program the other windows below it who jiggle, or wobble real quick. I formated my HDD and reinstalled ubuntu and macbuntu and that feature no longer works. How do i go about fixing it? I am running ubuntu 10.10.

Also i would like to say thank you for such a GREAT high quality product. I appreciate your time and hard work on this project, so thank you.

Did you install the drivers for your graphics card and Compiz is enabled in Apparance Preferences -> Visual Effects?

In Ubuntu 10.10 NVidia drivers do not operate delightful, at least for me. On the ATI chip works better.

On the NVidia cards Docky do not work properly too, everything hang a little. I use on the machine Cairo-Dock and it whizzes, you can try:

sudo apt-get install cairo-dock

Thanks for the reply, yeah i have an nvidia card with up to date drivers, and also i set the appearence under visual effects to extra.

Im not sure what im doing wrong because i had the same exact settings as i do now before i reformated my computer. It worked before i formated it and also i had 10.10 running before the format.

I really enjoyed that feature where when you exit any program all of the windows below it wobble for a half second.

Anyway thanks again for a great product.

looking at it further i might have figured out why it worked before and not now. I see on this site that it was last updated october 16th. Before my format i had macbuntu installed before the 16th. Could something have changed between versions?

Macbuntu latest version is dated 2010-10-13, Oct 16 was amended descriptions.

I will compare the different versions 2.3 & 2.3Alpha and check if there were any specific changes.

An interesting thing for me on the updated Ubuntu version from 10.04 to 10.10 also worked smoothly, only the pure instance, without the old configuration files slowed considerably.

on your gtkrc below of

class "GtkScale" style "Scales"

you should add this:
widget "*IdoScaleMenuItem*" style "Scales"

the result will be something like this

We were thinking of making a Mac OSX theme like a couple of months ago, but when we saw your theme, we left that idea because you've made it great folk, this is an excellent theme indeed
