Description:

Simple, clean and elegant.

The icon theme I use is a little bit modified well known elementary-monochrome (by DanRabbit). The mod called absolute-mono can be downloaded here: http://rghost.net/1975508

To use version 0.7 one should install the latest version of murrine engine (corresponding deb-files attached).

Changelog:

0.7.7 - Fixed the problem with right-bottom corners in Ubuntu 11.04 apps.
0.7.6 - Changed gtk-menu-popup-delay to fix submenus blink in qt4 apps.
0.7.5 - Tuned appearance of menu items a bit. Squared variant of the theme is added.
0.7 - Tuned appearance of some widgets. Changed 'selected' color. Modified metacity as well.
0.6 - Fixed small bugs in metacity theme. Added an alternative metacity theme.
0.5 - Added menu button in metacity. Made a variant of metacity theme centering title text (see screenshot 3).
0.4 - Fixes in metacity.
0.3 - Modified progress bars a bit.
0.2 - Changed appearance of metacity's pressed buttons. Some fixes in gtk.
0.1 - Initial release.

Thanks! The font is Droid Sans. In Debian-based distros you can get it by installing ttf-droid package.

Except for the theme, I really like the wallpaper. Where did you get it, and where can I download it? It's beautiful!

I'm just a simple guy who uses open source software. What's your excuse?

This is a great team and the main reason I don't use linux is because my eyes can't stand the fonts. The font in your screenshot looks amazing tho (along with your theme).

You stated that the font you're using is Droid but in the screenshot it shows Lucida Grande. Can you please very which font your using and at what size (and also what type of rendering and DPI). That would help me very much. Thanks!

Thanks for the comment. The thing is I used Droid Sans with previous versions of the theme. The comments you read concern screenshots made for those versions. Now I use Lucida Grande as you see in the pictures. I prefer subpixel smoothing, 8 size and 96 DPI. If you want to see Droid Sans in action with 'absolute' and to compare it with Lucida Grande, try the picture I made for you: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/6171/tmpemxwro.png

Thanks for the screenshot and your efforts. If I can get my desktop to look exactly like that your theme and font choice will make me switch to linux :)

My eyes suck I need sharpness :S

Great theme. Keep it up.

If you want your fonts to be sharp like in WinXP then check this site: http://www.sharpfonts.co.cc.
