Description:

##### E D I T #####

I decided to use this theme on my current lucid desktop, but then I was really surprised. Instead of the tar.gz I was only able to download the Screenshot file. Fortunately I had an older version on deviantart.com. I decided to download the old one and continue developing it. As a result I am now using a different and new style and some of the new murrine options.

I hope you like it now. Tell me what you dont like instead of rating it down.

###################

I-N-S-T-A-L-L-A-T-I-O-N I-N-S-T-R-U-C-T-I-O-N-S

Requires gtk2-engines-murrine version 0.90.3-git20100323 at least

I suggest that you extract the archive to "/usr/share/themes/"

The Font inside the Archive has to be extracted in your distros font folder.

The Panel-background has to be selected by the gnome-panel settings dialogue

###################

I love muscle cars, and the Plymouth Cuda also has a beautiful name. This Theme looks a little bit like a Shiki-Modification, but it\'s based on the Human-Theme in ubuntu and it uses a Mod of the Dust-Metacity. If you prefer the Sugar-Metacity, then you schould have a look on this site:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Plymouth+Hemi+%27Cuda?content=112823

########### I-M-P-O-R-T-A-N-T ##########

Using Humanity-Dark icons, NOW!

If you don't like it, tell me why before you rate it bad.

Changelog:

* I took care of some suggested improvements, but I was unable to turn every one into reality.

* I have fixed some Checkbox issues, once again.

* Menu-Checkbox corrected, another scrollbarstyle, another toolbar

* restarted from an old version and added some new things.

* another scrollbarstyle

* murrine git version options added - new dark toolbar and light toolbar

* created the best looking toolbar, I have ever made - and without any pixmaps ;-). Added a dark Gradient to the menubar.

* further little changes and a black nautilus toolbar. No problems with firefox and thunderbird, because of a white menubar

* the glossy effects are more heavier now, inclusive the scrollbar. Changes to the panel buttons. added simple Line to the code to modify the menubar firefox-friendly (!!! Not enabled !!!)

* more, not too heavy, glossy effects ;-)

* another titlebar for the metacity, another Button-look.

* new metacity - have a look at the second screenshot, which shows the perfect match with the DUST-Theme. ....and some minor changes to the gtk-theme. (ICON-THEME DUST!!!)

* updated index.theme file, readable firefox menubar text, evolution-mail toolbar fixes and a more purple selected color

* removed pixmaps and green default color, it's RUSTY now

* added the striped progressbar with pixmaps

* removed the grunge style, because it does not look good with the glossy panel-style

* something more is new ;-) especially the panel.png and the metacity give a grunge experience.

* new Metacity, new buttons, new progressbar, new scale, new menubar (Firefox/Thunderbird MenuItems are dark and not readable), new colors, new nautilus sidebar, almost everything is new

* using some murrine settings from "Dust"-Theme and a more good looking scrollbar

* removed the special menubarstyle and using workarounds from Shiki-Colors for a better appearence.

* special menubarstyle for Openoffice.org and Firefox

* Menubar Text is can now being read easier

* removed false settings and the panel has the same color as the Window-Frame now.

 stripes

This is a cool theme. What it's aching for is a progress bar that matches that dashed stripe down the side of the car.

Well, stripes. They would need to be drawn via the pixbuf-engine or something like that, but I don't like it to use pixmaps, because they make the theme slow, not much, but it does. If you will be satisfied with the cell-look, supported by the murrine-engine, I'll update the theme with this change.

I think you mean the Plymouth Hemi'Cuda? I don't think a Cuda existed without one...

Yes, you're right, the theme has a false name - thx to tell me, but I don't want to update the theme just because of the missing "Hemi" or "Barra"-Cuda. If I'll have updates for the theme, the Name will be changed, I promise!

Now I have removed the userChrome.css as it doesn't work, but the firefox menubar has a light glow, in order to make the text readable.

Please post problems with Thunderbird!

To solve the Firefox problem, simply add these lines "menubar > menu {color: white !important}" (without "") to the userChrome.css,it works perfectly!;)

It does not work. Do I have to do anything else? Is the folder "gtk-2.0" the right one?

Insert that string into userChrome.css and put it in the firefox folder-------->

.mozilla/firefox-3.5/.....default/chrome/

or

.mozilla/firefox/.....default/chrome/

PS:Just use your old userChrome.css and insert the new strings I posted.

---->menubar > menu {color: white !important}

Ok Thanks, now it works, using another userChrome.css, because I have already deleated the old one. Together with an update I am going to release the userChrome.css

Would you like to have a version without the dark panel?

Should I give the Menu Items a more glassy look'n'feel?

I think you really like my artwork, ;-)

Btw. disgusting colors depend on the wallpaper, which is used. E.g. the elementary gtk: I am of the opinion that it only looks good, if a blue, minimalistic wallpaper is used, if not it looks disgusting.

Furthermore, the colors fit very well for the Rusty style.
